Can't see how a rockabilly song could have been the inspiration for a techno sounding Pinball Zone. The beats are vaguely similar but the melodies are not.

I guess, instead of referencing the characterization he had established in the Wario Land series and using any tunes from there, they were working from the "bad Mario" angle. It's actually almost the exact same as Mario's theme from the same game, but with a swing to it.

Funny how Mario Tennis on the GBC went the exact opposite route and has stuff specifically from a Wario Land.
