BlueJackG's Wario Music

I tried another song, I made a beginning at The Colossal Hole from Wario Land 3:

What do you think?

EDIT: Worked some more on it. I think the very second last notes of the marimba and piano sounds odd. they're correct on the sheet but it just sounds off to me. Can't lay my finger on it.

I love the cave feeling that it gives! A really nice match! I wish I could give you a better feedback, but listening on my phone is not the same. I would have used timpanis to give the song a bit more depth, but it's really good as is, don't change it! Now I feel that brass or strings would be perfect in the rest of the song, don't you agree? I can't wait to hear the full song. I'll give you a proper feedback when I'm home again.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate that! I'll toy with those instruments that you mentioned for sure. :)
One question, though. Where do you get your instruments in FL? I must admit I've been trying to get away with MIDI instruments, because I find it difficult to get real instruments working the way I like. Imscared:

Well, I use sounfonts and VSTs. I don't really have a place to get them, I have to find free stuff on google...

Yeah, I caught the notes, at 0:38, the main part needs do go down one note I think. Aside from that, it sound good!
Same thing happens at 1:33, I think, which is the same situation.

Oh yeah, and I noted the DK64 style, it's really cool! It gives that primal vibe to the song, which fits the whole cave/tunnel theme. Nice job! :D

Hi, thanks for the feedback! Do you mean that the part with the vibraphone (the higher pitched notes) needs to go one note down at that part?
I did try that, but then it sounds more out of tune. I think the problem is that the higher the note, the lower the volume. then the Marimba takes the main hand there. The gameboy didn't have that volume issue so it makes it quite challenging haha. :p

Actually, I was talking about the Marimba, that would be what I change around. The vibraphone seems fine, so I guess the Marimba may have the note wrong at that point... But it's hard to tell, just by listening. However, try messing around with the velocity of the notes, as you said, this can be a volume issue.

Ok, I made some mild changes to the velocity of the instruments. It's but a minor improvement, but I think it's the most I can do without making it sound odd. :) It'll be on youtube later today!

Next track! This was a request! :D

I hope you enjoy!

I love how you recreated the "clickety-clak!" of the railway tracks with bass drums. Upbeat music is a great medicine when you're sick with no energy. Cheers, Jack!

Thanks Angler! Took me a while to get it right, but it fits well, right? :p

Speaking of upbeat music, this one is the exact opposite! xD

It's Lake Asparagus!! And you did it proud.

I really love this one (obviously, considering my username). It's so healing I feel better already. :D

The water theme sounds pretty nice. Heard it on Youtube when you first posted it.

As for tracks I'd be interested in hearing redone... maybe some of the Syrup Castle themes. That place is awesome!

Can you cover the music of the Pouncer stage (course no. 4), please?

I can, sure! That music is so mysterious! :D

Thank you, CM30! I posted here before I had it published on Youtube, it's in the resources.
I will remake music from the Syrup Castle, sure! :D
