Anyone else feel Mario Odyssey reminds them of a Mario & Luigi or Paper Mario game? It's got the feel of one if you ask me, with the original settings, original characters, good use of nostalgic references, Bowser with more personality, etc. Quite a bit of humour too.
And I thought multiple carts were annoying in the PS1 era. Nope, the Amiga version of Rise of the Robots apparently came on 13 floppy discs, and you had to change disc multiple times to get past the intro cutscene.
Am I the only one who kind of wants to see a celebrity play a game show for themself rather than a charity? It'd be very Wario like to say 'I'm playing to make myself even richer'!
Well, I've finally changed it. Now guests can view and download post attachments here. Always found it annoying how XenForo didn't allow this by default.
Just saw a video where Charles Martinet commented on the brutal final level in Mario Odyssey in character. Interesting experience, though I'm not sure I'd stay sane in the same situation.
Random trivia time: the lyrics for the Phantom's song in Mario + Rabbids are the only time the words 'Your princess is in another castle' are actually spoken in the Mario series. It's the Mario equivalent of 'beam me up Scotty'.
Okay, this quote from Master of Disguise made me laugh a bit: " Carpaccio: "Car", as in "car", and I got a nice one. "Pac", as in "posh", which my mansion is. "Cio", which rhymes with "B.O.", which is what YOU got! Seriously bud, shower much?"
Ah, I love the brochure pages in Super Mario Odyssey. Much more interesting than a boring map screen, especially with details like Culmina Crater being a city wiped out by an asteroid or life potentially beginning on the Moon.
