Hi, it's me again!

Yup, a thread from 607. It has been a while, hasn't it?
I created this because I just posted the first part of the Wario Land medley I'm going to upload to my channel!
It's not the first series I've covered, I've already done themes from Animal Crossing, Yoshi's Island and Super Mario 64.
But when I got to my Wario Land music, I figured that I should really create a thread here.
Enjoy!

This is the start of the Wario Land Medley! I'll have more videos coming, featuring Wario Land 3, Wario Land II and Super Mario Land 3.
This one, like the others, was composed by Kozue Ishikawa. She did a good job on it!
It plays at the world map, during the day. I like it a lot.
This was played at a real piano, at my grandparents'. Do you like it, or prefer our electrical one?
I also chose to zoom in more for this video, and used a tripod, so you can actually see the keys instead of me.
Enjoy!

PS: oh, and I'm sorry for the sniff at the beginning. I'm not sure who that was. Oh well, I think you shouldn't complain about it, it only makes it sound more real instead of sequenced d;)

Thank you very much! More will definitely be coming, but I'm not sure when. Also, there's one key broken on that piano, so if it doesn't get fixed I'll have to use an electrical piano for that theme. But electrical pianos also have their pros.

Bugger! Want me to come and fix it? I'll swim over there and punch that dumbass key until it works properly if the poxy thing is preventing more grand piano stuff from you. Trust me, I was the piano tuner back in college, right up until the day I was suspended. Which, oddly enough, was the day I took up that role to begin with, too.

Why did I forget this thread? d:eek:
Here are the 3 you missed (except if you are subscribed to me, of course):

"Aaaah, finally! The second part of the Wario Land medley! I would've loved to get around to doing this much earlier, but it just didn't work out. Anyway, here it is.

This one is not too difficult, but certainly very fun to play! At first I thought I wouldn't be able to do the alarm clock, but I figured out something that sounded kind of like it. And I must say, it adds quite a lot to it.

For those who didn't know: One Noisy Morning is the first level of Wario Land II, and in it you wake Wario up and he needs to crush a giant alarm clock to beat the level. [SPOILER ALERT] Another neat thing is that if you let Wario stay asleep instead of actually playing the level normally and just wait, you actually beat the level, and an alternate storyline gets activated. Got to love this game!

The first one to write the correct answer to the following question in the comment section of this video on YouTube, will get 10 Club Points. Club Points can be used for various things on my channel, including choosing a theme for me to cover on piano next (more information at folk.simpsite.nl/cp). "Which keys did I play to do the alarm clock sound?"

Have fun watching this video, and be sure to watch the previous video as well, which covered the Day Map Theme from Wario Land 3. Also, if you want to be notified of future uploads, feel free to subscribe d;)"

"Don't worry: this will be the shortest theme you'll see me cover in this medley
tongue.png
I even played it twice, and it was still the shortest by far.

But this theme was mainly used as a transition anyway: between One Noisy Morning and The Frigid Sea (which I'll upload next) I have to move my hands a whole way, and this theme allows for a nicer transition, because you can play the right hand only for a while, while moving the left hand to a place from where you can start the next theme.

That doesn't mean I don't like this theme though, it's good enough for a simple map theme, and actually quite catchy. Kind of fun to play, too, I can do it *really* fast

I'm ill at the moment, so I can't really record new videos. I had this video recorded a while ago, though, and, being ill, I had enough time on my hands to make a thumbnail and description and upload it.

I hope you enjoy it, even though it's short!

For the question this time, you'll either need to know quite a bit of useless knowledge about the Wario Land games, or you'll need to do some research: how many levels/areas are in this world? You'll get 7 CP (folk.simpsite.nl/cp) for being the first to answer said question correctly.

I think this theme was composed by Ryoji Yoshitomi, by the way, but it could be Kozue Ishikawa instead. I like either's works and they both worked a lot on the Wario Land series, so it doesn't really matter too much, I guess."

"Yay, finally I got the pleasure of uploading this one!

I love this tune <3

I love the bears too, especially ShyGuyXXL's version of them:

The sheet music for this great theme composed by Kozue Ishikawa was arranged by Cryo. It's available here: http://www.ninsheetmusic.org/download/pdf/1488

It's very fun to play, but it has some very difficult parts too. It's challenging to find a way to play the parts fluently, but I did it eventually, with help from my father (I learnt this when he was still alive). Still though, when playing this theme, it's like my fingers are doing athletics at some parts

But again, it's very fun!

I used the "vibes" instrument at our piano.

You'll get 9 CP (info: folk.simpsite.nl/cp) for answering the following question correctly: "What theme in the game is a remix of this one?"

Oh no you didn't! That's awesome! Keep them coming!

Don't mind me, I'm just gonna go subscribe! :D

This is where it all started... quite a while ago, when I first found ninsheetm.us (now called ninsheetmusic.org) this was the first theme I clicked (arranged by Arqivus, by the way). I thought it was incredibly cool to have the sheet music for a Wario theme and I wanted to make a remix of it in Garageband. The remix failed, but I did have a pianoroll with how to play the theme, now (back then I was incredibly slow at reading notes). After that I proceeded to do Wario Land 3's day map theme, and as you probably know, I tried playing that on piano afterwards, and it was great. It was only later I realised I still hadn't incorporated this theme, and I learnt it again.

This theme is quite quirky, and thus a bit tricky to play. It's very fun though, as you're really bouncing along the keys. There are a lot of things about video game music compositions (and other genres like opera and film music too, of course) you only realise when you play them. I love how fitting this theme is.

This theme was, of course, composed by Kozue Ishikawa.

The question is a bit of an easy one, you'll get 7 CP for it: in what other game does this theme appear?

This music was used in both Wario Land 2 and Wario Land 3.
So is the answer simply Wario Land 3?
Yes, I told you it was easy d;)
Wow, places two to four are very close together!
2. metaknight356 - 18 : 18
3. Vodazvezda - 17 : 17
4. wariolandgoldpiramid - 16 : 16
Travis Graham on first does exist, but he doesn't earn CP anymore. He's similar to a CPU high score now, as it's a general amount to pass, not changing, and he probably won't ever use it either.

Ah, this is typical Wario Land music... I like it!

I might've made a few rhythm inconsistencies here and there, and pressed a key where I shouldn't have. I think it's good enough, though, if I want to get everything perfect I'll never get something uploaded...

Anyway, nobody has yet joined the Club Tournament... () I wonder why, I spent quite some time on it and think it should be fun...

anyway, this video can also earn you some CP. The question, which will give you 7 CP if you're the first to answer it, is: "What is the name of the world this music plays in?"

Edit: I hate how this version of Xenforo automatically changes YouTube links into embedded videos. It's really, really stupid.

The editing of this took me way too long >.<
But it worked out at last. What do you think of it? Doesn't it look cool?
This theme is quite cool. The high instrument has double notes (like, two shortly after each other) in the original, but I couldn't really imitate that without a keyboard.
I'm sorry for the bit near the ending where I accidentally sped up, I was a bit nervous because I was doing so well d:p
Anyway, people have been joining 607's Club Tournament! d:D You can still play: too: http://warioforums.com/index.php?threads/607s-club-tournament.1305/
Hm, the question for this time is one for which you'll need to pay close attention to the video instead of having prior knowledge about the game (or be good at guessing, that'll work too d;P). How many coins does Wario pick up in the video? You can only comment an answer once, of course. The first one to correctly answer the question will receive 7 CP.
One song is left for this medley, which will hopefully be uploaded sometime soon!

"At long last! The final part of the Wario Land medley! I'll have to record the entire medley sometime too, but I'm not sure yet where and how. It'll probably come in due time.
Anyway: I really like this theme! I really wanted to include it as the last theme in the medley, but had some difficulties finding a good midi. Eventually, somebody help me fix a few bad notes, and I could get going!
I actually found the part that repeats five times the hardest, but of course I got to practice it the most, so now it isn't a problem anymore d;) When playing from the start, it does get a little repetitive, but while listening, I don't find that a problem. And oh, the second part is so good! I really love it! I actually think the first halve is mostly meant to serve as a build-up to the second part, and it works great!
This is the last of Kozue Ishikawa we'll hear on this channel in a while, I think, but hopefully we'll cover something from her again in the future!
Now, it's time to upload some themes from other games! d;)
Not that I am done with Wario Land, oh no, definitely not! There are still quite some great themes in these 3 soundtracks. But of course, there are even more great themes in other games I haven't even covered yet!
You'll probably be seeing some more Yoshi's Island soon (I did the Room before Boss theme before).
For this video, be the first to correctly answer the following question to earn yourself 6 CP: from what game is the sprite on the watch I'm wearing?
(folk.simpsite.nl/cp)"
https://youtu.be/V_BSNLv1SLE

Anyway: what do you think I should do with my upcoming covers? Should I continue posting them here, even if they aren't Wario related anymore? (hm, then editing the title and forum might be good)

I just now found these here, sadly : p These were way awesome, though! I really liked them alot. My favorites were The Frigid Sea and the last one here^ : p I really liked hearing you cover them, and seeing you play them too.

Btw its awesome that you actually recorded yourself playing the songs : p I really like watching bass guitarists play on youtube, watching a youtube video of someone play a song is like 10x more enjoyable when you can actually see them play : p Good job!

I wish I could record myself playing, I have a video game theme song I learned how to play once, Ive always wanted to film myself playing it for my friends.
