Wario Fan Supreme

The Captain Syrup > Waluigi Article: The Movie. Brought to you by all of us at Treasure Trove!

Featuring an improved script, more picture evidence and a readout by Tammerlue, if you've ever wanted to hear our opinions there's never been a better time! ...Mainly since you can actually hear them now.

Regardless, we're very excited to present this. Enjoy, everybody!

Fuck I love what you did with the edition and Tam's voice really makes it so pleasant to hear TvT

You guys need to watch it, the whole thing is presented like in the context of the games with little intro titles for every subject like in Wario Land II and all! The presentation is SO creative and my pics of Syrup's crying face look so dignified with how good it all is HGNHGNGHG

go give it love this is a super well done research >:C <333

Because he is Wario's brother or just a close friend of him.
And he is already 15 years part of the Mario franchise and still doesn't have his own game or even an appearence outside Mario Kart or some Mario sports games.

So the character is automatically better than Syrup based on his foundation rather than actual achievement?

Giving Wario a brother figure is a stupid move to begin with, since Wario's games are single player experiences, but Syrup acts as more than a final boss figure since her role develops and progresses, which was explained in the video. Waluigi has been nothing more than roster filler.

And he is already 15 years part of the Mario franchise and still doesn't have his own game or even an appearence outside Mario Kart or some Mario sports games.
Probably because he doesn't warrant having his own game.

Considering we're talking about a fictional character foundations tend to be important regarding the quality and possibilities of the character. If I remember well you mentioned that in one of your arguments with another member in favor of Daisy.

Bases are something that can be built upon and if the base is essentially very flawed and weak to begin with then it's hard to do that.
However, most character bases can usually be maximized and improved on all depending on the creativity and abilities of the writer.

What more could Syrup bring outside of being a rival and plot accessory to Wario in his games? Their relationship is very strained and not in the classic way that Bowser and Mario's is (big bad and hero). Sure, it may be more creative and an original idea but how does that fit in the formulaic approach to Mario games? Specifically, the same formulaic template that doesn't like to venture out of it's creative box aside from it's RPGs and hardly in it's spin off? The same series that is created by the man who doesn't like to add more depth and pronunciation on story and rarely ventures outside it's routine?

Waluigi a character that objectively, is less creative than Syrup is, still remains in that "Super Mario Bros." formula while not being a complete rehash and having a sense of a charm that is conspicuous to most of his fans.

If you're arguing in favor of her appearing in more Wario titles only, I agree, but when it comes to being paired off with him in spin-offs and replacing Waluigi (far too late for that) I heavily disagree.

Explain.

There are many hints to the Waluigi character in his animations, voice acting, and profile and statistics that shows he is at least a slightly unique character from Wario and most of the cast.

If a writer is innovative enough to come up with interesting ideas for Waluigi why would that be a problem?

Fifteen years.

That's nice.

Because game designers make games, not writers. Coming up with headcanons based on animations or whatever is not the same skillset as is needed to design a video game.

Fifteen years.

And Daisy has had more than 20, friend.
Still didn't stop you for arguing for her cause for the same excuse you said wasn't valid for Waluigi.

That's nice.

I suppose so.

I brought up official information put out by the side writers of the series that is supported by the animations and dialogue.
The latter part of your second sentence has little pertinence to the first part of what you said, and you seem to be basing this more on an insult to my character rather than actually going anywhere with that half-finished thought.

Maybe you confused me with that other member up there. /dunno/

Just one main appearance is still a whole game more than Shit.

Mario games have writers?

Well there is this:

Super Mario Maker, plattformer/level creator straight from the Nintendo EAD, major Nintendo release, Waluigi is in.

Just sayin'.

With that said I do find Mario Maker's lack of Daisy with Super Mario Land based SFX and Jingles a massive wasted opportunity. As much as I don't like current Daisy I do think that should have been a thing.

Well, personally, I never liked Waluigi, but even so, I think he is a good character. And yes, he is a clone of 2 clones of Mario, but it's fine, it makes him a fun character. However, I have to agree, we need to see more Captain Syrup, along side with more Wario Land games. She is a perfect character for the Wario and even Mario franchise. So in the end, keep Waluigi (for everyone who like him) and bring back Capt. Syrup, like it's been done in Wario Land Shake It!
Pretty please?

I don't even know why they didn't include her to begin with.
Waluigi has been getting more love from Nintendo than Daisy has these days, which is sad.

It just seems completely asinine.

Cpt. Syrup doesn't really fit with Mario and wouldn't be fit to even star with him in spin-offs, as much as I'd hate to say. As you can see they want to keep that basic blond princess template by even pushing out Daisy.

To be honest video games (especially JP) need more darker haired curly women period. Tired of the same look over and over again.

True that, but I think if Nintendo wants, they could make it work, they just don't want to...
