How did Wario end up in Diamond City?

It doesn't seem to be near Kitchen Island or the locations in the older Wario games, and it's seemingly quite far from the Mushroom Kingdom as it is in the main titles.

So how did Wario get there? Why did he move in? Was the city from Wario Land 4 Diamond City?

What do you think?
 
Yeah, I always found the transition from WL4 to WarioWare to be really weird. Especially seeing him head into a most unprecedented venture right after another treasure quest.
 
I still think that the city in WL4 is Diamond City, especially after it has been said that Dr. Crygor built the Wario Car. But I don't know how he ended up there. Maybe he discovered it and thought it to be a nice place to settle down, far away for the Mushroom Kingdom. I also have the headcanon that the city is located somewhere near Isle Delfino: They have both subtropical climates and are quite densely populated.
 
He had tons of money to move and didn't wanna see Mario's face until he could beat him at the tournament in Power Tennis since he was still mad about his defeat over in Mario Land.
Of course he could do that back at Kitchen Island but since Mario found the area via helicopter he didn't wanna take a chance.
 
My headcanon is that Wario lived in the city during his pre teen/teenage years. (Which is how he met people like Jimmy T and Dr Crygor) However when he grew up and became jealous of Mario, he decided to get away from the city in pursue of a castle that he can call his own (This would be SML2-WW) but shortly after Wario Land 3, he moved back to the city for unknown reasons and has stayed there ever since (And yes, I consider the city in WL4 to be Diamond City)

Mario offered Wario to work at a place where there were millions of dollars every single day.


Wario took the job offer and found himself working at Diamond City bank. Mario meanwhile took all his gold, forcing Wario to move into a small shabby house. You know the rest, he made his company and made millions again.

Actually, I think Diamond City is part of Metro Kingdom.
