How did Wario find his employees for WarioWare?

CM30

Diamond City Mayor
Diamond City Leader
Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Because to be honest, I can't quite see how he met all these odd people in this series. I mean, Mona seems to have practically fallen in love with him, but how about the others? Why did a bunch of kids, mad scientists, talking animals and all kinds of other interesting types of people decide to join Wario's corporation again?

And how's he still have employees in each game? He admits to never paying anyone anything, few other characters seem to be on speaking terms with him and they even supposedly founded a different company in WarioWare DIY.

What do you think?

Question is... Are they still even working for him?
In the first game it was part of the plot: Wario asked his friends to make microgames for him and in the end they all wanted their part of the pay-off.
But in later games?
Sure, they still all have microgames but the overall plot doesn't seem to indicate they are working for him.
Also: After Wario Ware inc. Wario's house was changed back to it's original form. It's not the Wario Ware inc. headquarters anymore so....I dunno...

This is the only game the actual company was seen in.

Well anyway...

I'm guessing Wario met Jimmy in Club Sugar, seeing as Jimmy spends most of his time there. Maybe that's also where he met Mona. Seems likely, doesn't it?
Or maybe in her gelateria?
But seriously! Who could resist that perfect moustache or those glorious muscles? Not to mention that blinding "smile"! No wonder Mona fell for him.

9-Volt was probably a fan of Wario. ^^ (He better be a huge Wario Land fan!)

Kat and Ana...? Two kindergarten girls.....uuuuhhhm o_O' part of me doesn't wanna know.

Maybe Dribble and Spitz once chased after Wario because he refused to pay the taxi fare...and then they got into a fight...and then just talked it out...and then found out they actually really liked each other. ...*shrug*

Orbulon is maybe an acquaintance of Tatanga...? Unlikely but.... xD dunno.

Ashley? ...I dunno, Wario has done some hypnotizing in the past, she might be good at that.

And Dr. Crygor...? Maaaayyybe..... uh... I have no idea.

I also don't know about Young Cricket.
Anyone?

In the WarioWare Mega Microgame$ instruction booklet there stands that Wario write with graffiti on the wall that Kat and Ana graduated from the Wario's school of kindergarten...
Also there stands that Mona a "savvy student" is. Maybe Wario found her at her college?

I never knew that! Nice catch! Guess that explains Kat and Ana and Mona!

JokeR beat me to it, but the character profiles in the original manual have some hint about the WW employee's relation to Wario.

9-Volt:

I think Nintendo games are the greatest, so you can imagine my surprise when I found that Wario lives in my... uh, I mean that I live in his city!

Orbulon:

You know, my propulsion transport device crashed into Wario's house on a previous visit. Since then, he allows me to crash there whenever I want!

Jimmy:

I know Wario looks offbeat, but he and I go way back. Plus, he always sends me cell-mail!

Dribble & Spitz

Between us, we taught Wario how to drive! He'd never admit it, but it's true...

I'd be to interested to know how he met Ashley, though...

Once upon a time I was going to write a fanfiction about how Wario met all these characters and befriended them... accidentally.

It was going to be funny and heartwarming at the same time. Each of these characters were down on their luck and misunderstood. Through a series of wacky events, Wario ends up helping them all.

Is it cancelled? Because if so, that kind of sucks. I'd love to read it!

Thanks for the recap! Guess that's what I get for missing out on the first WarioWare title. Wish it was on the 3DS VC rather than Wii U one...

And yeah, it would be interesting to hear how he met Ashley. Not least because character wise, she's always seemed more like a potential video game villain than a microgame host or game developer.

Seriously. Every other character with a design or personality like her, Wario has generally ended up against/fighting. Ashley seems more like an antagonist you'd see listed alongside Captain Syrup, Rudy the Clown, the Wario Master of Disguise cast or the Shake King as far as personality and attitudes go. Or perhaps a Mario RPG villain. Basically, the kind of character you'd expect to see destroyed after a boss battle in a Wario Land game or Mario RPG after they stupidly tried the world conquest thing and failed. *

So it would be neat to know not only how Wario encountered her, but how somehow they became friends (or at least, colleagues) in a setting where anyone overly confident in themselves with 'evil' motives tends to end up in a fight.

* On that note, it's lucky said character didn't actually ever try and back up any of her claims from her theme song. There are already enough wannabe world conquerors roaming the Mushroom World, many of which realise the hard way that the place is filled with heroes and heroines who are quite willing to stand up to evil doers, and a few of which who realise the hard way that they're not quite as competent as they probably think they are (see Antasma from Mario & Luigi Dream Team).

Well I never finished it because I had a difficult time coming up with how Wario would become friends with Dribble, Spitz, Young Cricket, Kat and Ana. The rest of the characters I came up with scenarios.

With Ashley I took the part of the song:

"But I think you're nice, and maybe we could be friends. And if you say "no", you're toast!"

To be the dialogue she says to Wario after he proves he's not scared of her. In the story Ashley has no friends because she's creepy with a bad temper. But really she's quite lonely being an orphan, the only company she has is Red. Wario stumbles into her mansion looking for a treasure that's supposedly hidden in there. She tries to scare him away with all kinds of creepy spells and tricks.

"Wahaha! You call that scary? I'm-a not going anywhere!"

"You... really don't think I'm scary?"

Eventually she agrees to give him the treasure if he promises to be her friend. Wario agrees.
