How does Diamond City stay so peaceful?

Relatively speaking, when it exists in what's presumably the same universe as is at least the rest of the Wario games?

Is there some massive geographical gap between the settings of the first two games and that of the WarioWare franchise? What stops monsters from Kitchen Island's surroundings and the Golden Pyramid's locales from interfering in WarioWare games?

And it gets worse on this front too. Wario's got two whole worlds stuffed within his house in the form of the music box and shake dimension globe. What happens if something from one of them escapes to the outside world? Could it happen?

Additionally, there's also the implications (in some games) that Diamond City is connected to the Mushroom World in some way. That's not exactly the least invaded place in the world, so what stops say, Bowser hopping the border and deciding this modern town is a slightly better base of operations? Or if an RPG villain finds it a good distraction? I don't think the somewhat... weaker forces of Diamond City could do a lot about it.

So put simply, how has it managed to say intact after all this time? It has what I assume are at least three hostile Wario locations nearby, two hostile subworlds included in Wario's House and possibly (depending on whether it's in the Mushroom World) a bunch of places filled with evil armies and invaders about two minutes away.

P.S. Does anyone else think it'd be kind of cool if they actually addressed this in the next Mario RPG? Cause I have to admit, seeing Diamond City under siege and Wario having to fight his way out in order to join Mario's party would be a pretty neat 'intro' or something.

Depends.







Nothing is quite as hellishly chaotic as say, the Shroobs Invasion in Mario & Luigi Partners in Time. Probably makes the residents of Diamond City quite happy they never had those guys declare war on their city and rip it to pieces. That would be utter hell, almost a bloodbath.
 
Heh, that's a good point. Given how much Bowser (and a lot of other villains) seem to be in love with Peach, perhaps the less interesting (for them) female characters may make Diamond City not worth invading.

Cause let's face it, neither Bowser, Tatanga, Fawful or Antasma is gonna choose Mona to kidnap.
 
Let's look at it like this, what is Diamond City composed of?
  • A high schooler who goes treasure hunting with Wario, has outran a dozen or so police cars in the first game and has single handedly defeated her competitors several times.
  • Kindergarteners who are capable of Ninjitsu and has saved the city from various threats such as trolls and a skeleton shogun
  • A Pre Teen/Teenager with a interest in dark magic that can get very angry if fucked with. (We've seen what she can possibly do in G&W.)
  • Not one, but two mad scientists (Dr Crygor and Penny)
  • A dog and cat duo that has a Taxi capable of going to Space and have fought aliens in the past
  • A Fucking Ailen with a high IQ and possibly more.
  • A Kung Fu Master and his student
And on top of all that, you have Wario, a guy that will go through everything no matter what's thrown at him, has successfully taken over two lands back in his villain years (At least, temporarily), and has fought all sorts of crazy insane threats ranging from Pirates to Demons to Kings and has saved not one, but two alternate dimensions. All in the name of dat sweet sweet money.

Meanwhile what is the Mushroom Kingdom composed of?
  • Toads that can get terrified easily.
  • A Princess that gets kidnapped more times then not.
Seriously the only thing that truly stands Bowser and various other baddies between them and the Mushroom Kingdom is primarily Mario (And Luigi and Yoshi to a lesser extent). If it wasn't for him, the Mushroom Kingdom would have most likely been taken over years ago no problem. (And has done exactly that in NSMBU)

Diamond City on the other hand is a city that has both Badasses and potential Badasses who are more then capable enough of taking down multiple threats whatever it's for their gain or not. (Though whatever it is depends on the character and their motivations.)

So even if Bowser or some other villain does let's say try to invade Diamond City for whatever reason, the chances of them being very successful in taking over the place would probably not be the highest compared to let's say the Mushroom Kingdom and will probably be a pain in the ass to do such a thing without some kind of trouble along the way.

While there is troubles in Daimond City it certainly never had a full scale invasion or war like the other Kingdoms.
