Wario seemed pretty evil in Mario Land, though I guess he changed over the years.

Ashley hasn't done anything notable (very) evil aside from turning her teacher into a spoon, though she tried to kill an alien. But that isn't evil, if it were a human though that's a different story.

"I granted-" SHUT UP! THAT WAS A GLITCH!

I'd say she just has issues, sorry if this seems a little dark for WarioWare.
The only person she really hangs out with is red and he's red so who cares, just one companion. Now some of you might disagree seeing as though they're always together but at her closing cutscene in WarioWare touched she decided she could use HIM to make her potions, of course that might've been a cruel joke because he was back in action in every subsequent WW title. I'd say he's a friend but they aren't friends till' the end (bash this point i made all you want)
That leaves Wario whom is her friend, the one adult she knows but they aren't exactly super tight she just sorta hangs out and makes microgames but mostly potions. So she has no real guardian or parent. So who raised here Red? but red is younger so its the other way around.
She's a loner with nobody to raise her like a daughter and set her on the path so of course she'd be hostile but deep down on the inside she just wants to make friends, even the song says so. She wouldn't mind beeing your friend but you'd better watch yourself or you'll be in for it.
Now there is probably a name for this issue but i don't know it. But obviously there are many kids that went through this and that may be what she reflects.
I say she's just misjudged. She never even caused serious trouble, just mischief. After all she's a kid.

(Wario was out of town that day, as he had to go to a kart match with Mario and friends.)

Mike was rebuilt. (Saved myself, since I forgot about it.)

The only character from Warioware which Nintendo is currently paying their attention to despite Warioware being dead for years, the closest thing was Game and Wario that didn't even start out as a Wario game.

Well, the ENTIRE Ware crew will make an appearance in Ryhtmparadise and i don't see Wario Ware as dead. I assume that there will be a new Wario game on the NX. And why do all the people hate Game and Wario? I like it.

I also don't get what people like about her. I used to like her but obsessive fans and too many badges kinda ruined her for me. Now i see her just as mediocre.

I don't find it unenjoyable it just feels kind of dull and generic. The traditional gameplay found in Gamer is what people would say is the highlight of a mostly forgettable game.

A lot of female characters tend to get obsessive fans, but not liking a character because of them is absurd.
The one about the badges is not valid. Why would you start to see her as mediocre just because she's getting more artwork done for her? It's not harming anyone in the slightest.

Why do people like her you ask? Why does anyone like any character? Simply because they like what the character is, what the character stands for, design and personality. I see loads of people like her because of her design, which is the same way Rosalina got many fans.

Not only design, but how the character is. Just some mean girl who really wants friends in the inside.

On a different note I find it interesting that despite there being 2 different ways that Ashley is written, the ingame Ashley seems more like the Western one. I don't think Ashley does anything overtly cute in any of the games.

I think she wants to control people, not really befriend them, even if she uses the word "friend". She's pure evil and wants to dominate the world, and if she's able to get minions, then cool.

The song implies she can take over the world, so yeah, if she was truly evil she'd have had Bowser, The mushroom kingdom and everywhere else at her knees by now. (I know the songs are different depending where you live, so the part about ruling the world might MIGHT not have truth to it.)

And her only minion is Red, which she considers her bestfriend and not a minion, so Ashley isn't a bad person necessarily, again, probably just misunderstood. Though I'll admit she can get pretty angry easy, and if she did have friends, would be kind of mean towards them. Though that might be the case to control them, but what would she do if she did get control of a lot of people? Take over the world for real?!

I am super glad they didn't make Ashley overly cute in the games, instead show her as a strong, mean person she is! I don't think I would like her that much if she was the exact same as her Japanese counterpart.

Well, I've always seen her as a girl trying to rule the world, with a twisted mind when it comes to friends. I mean, she was going to use Red as an ingredient.
Plus, and also what makes me like the character, is that she's always trying to do something to rule the world or whatever, and fails. I really like Ashley (I should say "Ashley and Red" as a duo), as comedic evil wannabe, trying their best to do evil and failing at it. Kinda like Pinky and the Brain.

Now that I think of it, what if the Red we saw in Warioware touch is not the same Red we see today? There are notable differences with Red in touch and in the newer games, the most noticeable one being the head shape. Red's head in touch is round-ish while the newer one has kind of an oval shape to it.

What if she really did use that Red as an ingredient? and the newer one is another demon Ashley summoned? I don't want to think about it now, since I really love Red. <3 :redhappy:

I guess it depends on tastes. I like breaking my Highscores and the Multiplayer Games are fun too. The only games i find boring are Dr.Crygors and Mike's minigames.

But a balanced mix with one half being the traditional microgames and the other half being Minigames like in G&W would be cool.
