Is Nintendo adding an achivement system???

Apparently on a Reddit AMA, an Indie dev has apparently leaked out that Nintendo is working on an achivement system of sorts
http://nintendoeverything.com/licht...-working-on-an-achievement-system-for-switch/ Considering Nintendo already has a achivement like system with it's mobile apps and My Nintendo (Doing specific things on their apps will give you points in My Nintendo.) I wouldn't be surprised at all if Nintendo is actually looking into doing something similar with their bigger games.

But what do you think about this?

I kinda like it. They have been adding similar things to some of their more modern games such as Animal Crossing New Leaf (the badges) which can be pretty fun to obtain over time. As long as it isn't something like "Press A 100 times".

I just hope that a) they give you the option to turn off notification pop-ups if you don't wanna get taken out of the experience, and b) they don't include unreasonably difficult achievements that 99% of people wouldn't be able to get.
