What's there to "miss" about it? No one uses those kinds of phones anymore.
The best you'll even see of it is sitting around in some old storage place somewhere in either his or Doc's place.

That's true, but I wouldn't mind if they made it into some sort of throwback to the early WarioWare games.

Of all the ways to throw back to earlier WarioWare games, what you want is the most...unrealistic?
Hey hey, what's wrong with feeling nostalgic over old technology? Nostalgia is totally the "in" thing nowadays! The Nokia 3310 got rereleased and although intended for developing countries received a ton of attention from other elsewhere.
there's also the "modern" amiga and commodore 64 which are just mediocre mid-range computers in nostalgic cases.
Nostalgia is ALWAYS the in thing, but as time moves the decade of nostalgia moves up too, hell why weren't everybody rocking Walkmans a few years back? Because its obsolete.

But as for the topic itself?
While his Flip Phone can be somewhat obsolete by today's standards, Let's remember that this is fucking Dr Crygor we're talking here.
This is the same guy who added rocket boosters to a skateboard, made a taxi that can go to outer space,
Made a washing machine that makes gyro devices and also gave Wario superpowers, a machine that combines one object's DNA with another, and many other various gadgets and machinery.
Seriously who knows what that ol Flip-Phone is capable of?
Especially since it had a personality before Siri hit the market.
Besides though, this topic is a bit obsolete as like JAWF and Warelander pointed out, he doesn't even have a cellphone anymore. but a smartphone like everyone else.
