Multiplayer modes in WarioWare

Basically the one's from Mega Party Games and Smooth Moves, do you like em', think that WarioWare isn't suited for multiplayer or just never got a chance to try them?

I on my end always found them to be a fun spin on WarioWare, from highscoring to a competetive focus (well, with the exception of ''All for one''), my favorite one being Balloon Bang and it even came back in Smooth Moves.

I also want to give the modes in MPG credit for making the characters and their themes part of the gameplay for once, which admitingly made me dislike how Smooth Moves replaced all of it with Miis, but eh, what can yah do.

I love 9-volt's game in Mega Party Games, I didn't know about eReader cards before, so it was a really cool concept, as I love those small techy stuff.
Dude, scanning cards and stealing them from your opponents? Awesome!
Mega Party Games is kind of a winner here with the games. I thought the ones in smooth moves were a bit forgetable, although still fun!
They feel like they go too fast.

That's probably just because of Smooth Moves selling better, but I do agree on MPG being the better multiplayer game and it being seriously overlooked, it's a bit of an oddball in the series, since the focus is entirely on multiplayer, but it succeeds in what it wants to do and I always had a lot of fun with it.

Long story short: It's a different take on WarioWare that actually works.

Man, I liked Mega Part Games, they're such fun. Smooth moves is IMO not that great in multiplayer mode, but it's nice that they at least did include something to enjoy.

That was the high point of Wario games, we recently got Wario Land 3, then Wario Land 4 came around with Wario World, along with WarioWare Inc and this topic's WW MPG. Soon we'd be getting WarioWare Twisted, and all those are the ones I consider to be the best of the series, aside from a few exception.
What I mean by that is that MPG was made with a really creative mindset, it was advertized as a scam, but it was essencially another way for players to try WarioWare Inc, plus the added multiplayer you guys praised and which I agree.

That's funny, I've always considered the period from WL 3 until about WW Twisted to be the ¨Golden Age¨ of the Wario series.

Exactly! And I would add WarioWare touched and VB Wario Land in the mix.

Btw, can we consider DIY as having multiplayer? It kinda is but kinda not.

MPG is my favorite party game personally, only real issue is i'm not a party game kinda guy but the WW Twist make it worth it for me. Smooth Moves Multiplayer was serviceable but i don't care.

If they can do it as well as they did on MGP I'd say the potential Switch title should have multiplayer. Though personally i wouldn't look for multiplayer specifically since its not really a series staple that i care deeply about.
