Post a fact about yourself

I think you used to look more along the lines of:

moana-maui.jpg

...which is plenty manly tbh

it is pretty manly but It was only half the reason I cut my hair. The other reason was completely a request from a very close friend of mine. I figured it was time for a change after the whole moving out and defining who I am. the fact that I found out was that my actions defined who I was. not the hair or the clothes. So I naturally adjusted to the likeing of the short hair.

Ive been wanting to get my hair cut. But everytime I go to do it, they cut it waaaay too short.

Like, I always tell them I want to keep it just above my shoulders, not even by an inch. But they almost always go up to my ear lobes. It makes me really mad > : (

I could use a trim though, dont want my hair to get a bunch of dead ends and all that. Am gonna have to risk getting a bad hair cut again : /

Fun fact: I can't live a day without listening to music. When I'm on my way to school, however, I don't have access to my favorite songs, so I can literally remember a song from start to finish. I look like a complete weirdo bopping my head to the rhythm despite a clear lack of earphones.

What kind of music do you like?

And you? What are you into?

I guess Id say alternative and indie stuff : p My all time favorite musician is bass guitarist/pianist/singer Armistead Burwell Smith, who writes music for several bands.

Bass guitar is my favorite instrument btw : p

I also like groups such as Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Joy Division, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Arcade Fire, El Ten Eleven, Bon Iver, The Cure, Now Now, and early Modest Mouse.
I usually like melodic, flowing and pretty music : p

Do you have a favorite instrument/musician?

If I had to choose just one artist I'd be lying to you, but in all honesty, mine would have to be Zacarias Ferreira. He's this Spanish artist who just knows how to hit deep in my heart. His songs are always romantic and with a creative and catchy tune.
But essentially, his songs really make me think and at times even make me sad!

He sounds neat, I like reflective music like that. I will look him up.

I totally would recommend him! Even if you can't understand the lyrics, the rhythm of the songs will hopefully fancy you!
Here are a few personal favs:

Am gonna listen to both of them : p

And haha lyrics arent important to me : p I like instrumental music a bunch too, much of Mogwai is instrumental : p

Haha, I cant lie, the opening line in the first song, the "I love you", it totally made me laugh : p Was super cheesy : p
I definitely liked it though, I actually am a huge fan of male singers who have a soft and sensitive voice. Was way nice. I liked the use of guitars too. I like it when guitarists play around with their instrument like that, and actually use notes and make twinkly sounds like that : p I get kinda burned out with guitarists who always strum barre chords, haha.
I cant say I totally liked the ending, though. I mean it wasnt bad at all, but it felt out of place, like the sudden keyboard bit made it feel like it was a part of some afternoon sitcom from the 90s to me : p Other than that I really liked it though.

Am listening to the second one, my first impression is that I like his singing better in this one, and I like his use of harmonics. But I dont like the melody of the song as much as the last : p I do like it though, I like the transitions of the guitar, especially when it plays downward with the notes and climbs back up, dunno what to call it : p But its definitely pretty.

Oh I really liked the change up at 3 minutes though. Does he both play and sing?

Anywho, since I listened to them Im totally gonna share one of my own from Armistead : p

Its one of his solo pieces, is him playing bass and singing along with a drum track with occasional piano and guitar mixed throughout.

Omg I knoooow he is pretty cheesy! XD
Yes he both plays and sing. Both songs are from different artists, I forgot to mention!
This song you've shared gives me such a soothing vibe. I love the percussion, and the vocals are top notch! Love it!

When I was three years old, I was sitting on our familie's front porch in South Carolina (we're southerners), when I was attacked by our resident rooster. Sucker almost got my left eye, but I flinched and now I've got a scar on the left side of my face a little below my eye. Therefore, due to this story, I'm not a fan of roosters. Hens are alright. But roosters are always watching us. Always.

Gotta watch your back around roosters, especially in the chook shed. As a country kid I know all too well the feeling of a rooster's sharp spurs piercing human flesh. I have encountered some tame/gentle roosters in my time, however.
