I don't know where I should post this but here goes.
I was looking around in the possible post ratings list and something felt off, for some reason.
Why is rating "Old" a negative rating, when it sounds like a neutral type of rating?
And why is "Optimistic" a neutal rating, when it may be considered a good rating (maybe)?
What about "Dislike"? I always thought it should be negative or at least neutral...

What do you guys think?

"Old" I interpret as being a specific kind of useless post. A post that doesn't really add anything to the discussion due to being outdated, redundant, or already well known information.

"Optimistic" could be like inbetween agreeing and disagreeing. Like not necessarily agreeing with the sentiment but acknowledging the optimism being expressed. Thus neutral.

"Dislike" being positive makes no sense to me. It should be neutral.

The one that bugs me the most is "Dislike", without a doubt...

The "Bad Spelling" one is a little dumb if you ask me. So what, english isn't a lot of peoples' first language. Who cares.

also it makes the rater look like a grammar nazi huehuehuehue

I agree, I'm not a native english speaker, I do tons of mistakes myself. I assume "Bad Spelling" would mean bad language or childish writing, maybe?
Like, you can tell if someone made an effort to write correctly or if they're just being lazy/uninterested.

I suppose "Bad Spelling" would fall under if it was just someone doing it in a vain attempt to seem cool or playful, but ended up looking foolish. And even then, that doesn't exactly seem like the most purposeful rating, since if you perceived it as dumb, I would imagine that the "Dumb" or "Dislike" rating (the latter of which should really be neutral/negative) would be appropriate. Honestly, I could do without it.

I think the "Like" and the "Agree" ratings are a bit redundant : p That might not be the best word, but it does kinda seem to similar to me, you know?

I mean yeah you can like something without necessarily agreeing with it I guess? But I mean if you liked a post, you probly agree with it : p

I never liked negative ratings, cuz people are mean with them. I never use them ever, except on Crescent Moon Villager, where I gave him a bad spelling rating for giving me an old rating due to my age : p

I totally agree with MonaWare in that I also never liked negative ratings, they are essentially an open invitation for people to be dicks and don't contribute anything of worth to any conversation, because it essentially allows peeps to betitle other people's content without them having to answer themselves.
