Request: Does anyone have the Wario Land 4 adventure book?

Hm. Never knew such a thing existed. There's no guarantee we will get official names for unnamed enemies anyway.

You never know, we've had throw-away mentions of the capitalized "Yeti" on a 2001 Nintendo preview webpage and Nintendo Power Advance, which is rightfully an official name, and some others which are exclusive to Nintendo Power Advance.

I'm talking about this one.

There's minimal information about it online. I'm extremely interested in knowing about plot specifics, character descriptions, official names for otherwise-unnamed objects and enemies.

I used to have this. Might still, but i'll have to dig through a ton of shit to find it. I don't think it was ever gotten rid of.

Maybe I will, just for nostalgia

I own two copies of it. Those Nintendo adventure books were quite popular in Australian schools in the 90's and early 2000's. It's a shame you're not down here, Shokora, I could have sent one to you. I'll scan some pages if you like?

Oh cool! I will actually be back home sometime in December. We'll keep in contact about it, but I'm more than happy to Paypal you an amount to cover the book and postage costs. :hugz:

guys, please scan it and make a PDF version...

That's a top idea! I'll scan my less glossy one, so I don't bust the binding on the better one. It's a lot of work, though. I've got a busy schedule, so give me a couple of weeks and I'll have a complete scan for the forums, so everyone can read/keep it.

Just keep in mind, it IS a "choose your own adventure" book. So it will be awkward to read on a screen.

Thanks very much! I've been curious about this book for a long time. Even if it's not very good I'm interested in seeing how it was presented and what it detailed. Might even be an idea to rewrite it if there's enough to work with!

I always enjoyed those old Nintendo adventure books. They were only written as cool novelties for kids who played video games, and to encourage reading in school libraries. So we can't expect anything sophisticated or on par with adult literature, but they served their purpose. I mean, we were never going to get any world-acclaimed literature based on Wario Land 4, Super Mario Advance, etc.

The DKC novels are litterary masterpieces that make important statements about the human condition

the preview honestly convinced me that was Jimmy Neutron in the bottom left for a second

Please excuse my lateness, folks. My scanner is a cheap piece of crap, and there's 80+ double-sided pages to scan. Usually the words come out blurry or the text bleeds through from the other side of the page (the pages are really thin). So that means scanning the same page over and over until it comes out right... UGH!! I also have to squash the book flat under the scanner, which is starting to rip the binding apart.

But don't worry, folks! The job is happening, it's getting done. The wheels are in motion. This is just a message to let you know why it's taking longer than I planned.
