Should the Shoutbox move to Discord?

Now as of late, Ashley Channel has created an discord chat for the forums. (That We didn't know about till now.) and it has been gaining popularity as of recently. but now it's time to decide the shoutbox's future once and for all. Should it move to an offical discord channel or should it stay. should it still be on the site just not on the front, or should it be removed completely with no traces left. now it's the time to vote for the future of the chat, and Remember every vote counts.

Also would the two "move" options count as separate or together? What would happen if the number of "stay" votes outnumber one or the other but tallied together there is greater desire to have the ShoutBox moved?

They count as seperate, the first move option is to move it a Discord chat, wherea's the second move option is more of a compromise. Basically remove the shoutbox from the front page completely, but have a link to the page, so it's still there, but it's not getting so much attention.

Something like this basically.

My own vote goes for moving it to Discord. It'd be a more appropiate place for a general chat with many sub-chats to live-chat about.

I heard some nasty stuff went down on the Shoutbox, was that another reason for the Shoutbox's fate voting?
 
The ShoutBox has been a bit troublesome since its implementation and the other day it really went downhill with me even just suggesting that something be done about the ShoutBox.
 
I would be willing to consider this. It'd certainly be better than the old Wario Discord. That thing was... well, dead was probably the nicest word to describe it.

But yeah, let's see what the poll results say.
 
If we move it to discord, can we post a thread with a link for it, and sticky it somewhere, so that if any member wants to join, they can?

Id hate to see the chat for Wario Forums become its own entity, where someone else decides who joins and who doesnt. That would kinda defy the whole forum having its own chat kinda thing.

Anywho, other than that I think its a good idea.
 
I think my compromise could had been the best solution. But I do understand why things are going this way. It just sucks that we couldn't find one.
 
I thought it was a good idea but I feel like with the way things had developed, the ShoutBox had pretty much taken on a life of its own.

Is the Discord link if this does end up being the case.

It is modded with trusted mods like Jack and Juan, everyone has their own special emote. It's a pretty fun place right now. Anybody (Providing you have a Wario Forums account) can join! easy to sign up, and easy for guests to access.

Why not? It's never been tried yet, however it's too late to try at this point since most people who frequent the shoutbox are posting in discord now.

We have a rule of not posting anything there if we can avoid. Priority will be the Forums, and from there we can share the links to resources and topics.

THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE WE THERE????
