Should they make a "Best of WarioWare" game?

Seeing them come out with Mario Party: The Top 100 just made me think about this.

Of course, it would be a compilation of microgames from past games.

But...how would they be grouped? Who would have which groups?

Or should it be more of a "WarioWare Megamix"?
Where there's a story to follow (like with Tibby), but you still have sets of microgames. And how would those sets be here?

I suggested this a few years back, but looking back, I don't thnk it would be interesting at all. The microgames aren't deep or complex enough that people are attached to them individually. Nobody thinks "Man the western gun duel game in Smooth Moves was such a nuanced masterpiece of game design". It's the wacky aesthetic, the rapid succession of them, and most importantly, the sense of surprise, that makes them fun.

Ah, that is a good point.

True, most people don't have fond memories of individual microgames.

But I'm sure they'll make something new for the Switch. Its hardware is versatile enough to warrant a new WarioWare title, isn't it?

WarioWare would be a good series for a compilation, with more over a thousand micogames. And the Nintendo Switch would be the perfect console for such a game. Also, the 15th anniversary of WarioWare will be next year, a better moment for a WarioWare compilation can't possibly exist.

I agree that the microgames themselves don't lend themselves to remakes in such a compilation, alternatively one ''best of'' type thing that I thought of back when the Wii U was still alive was to have a WarioWare game where every stage packs new games and centers on one of the many past control schemes, like one stage is all button controlled microgames, one has tilting, another one has the touchscreen and so on, particulary since all past control methods would have been possible on there. No clue whether or not that would have been a worthwhile venture though.

It would be like Mega Party Game$,the concept to play with people but online. (But not in servers, just random online play).

I think such a thing would be great for mobile devices.

Originally when I heard Nintendo was going to make phone games the first series I thought of was Wario Ware.

I will admit, I did fancy the idea a lot for awhile.
But I do agree with the others that Warioware just doesn't have enough stand out Mircogames to really make such a thing work.
Plus I feel the Switch's nature kind of prevents such a thing from working properly with constantly putting . (It would have been much better suited for the Wii U)

And really, I would rather have a entirely new Warioware title that uses the Switch's abilities to the fullest as opposed to a compilation game.

The controls vary so it wouldn't work out unless there was a special Wario controller designed specifically for the game. It's not a bad idea but I'd rather just play the other games separately if I wanted to play a specific microgame or a specific range of my favorites. A "create your favorites collection" would be the way to do it imo but you can sort of do that in DIY but you only have the microgames from that game to choose from. Honestly if you never played any of the past WW titles or own only one game then I'd pick a compilation than a new one any day.

what if instead of a "best of" they just compile all the microgames though perhaps change them up a bit to account for the varying control schemes over the years
