Unpopular Video Game Opinions

Waluigi is way overated i don't hate him but aside from a few small details he doesn't effect the Marioverse for me. I can't imagine Super Mario without Wario but i can imagine it without Waluigi.

I love Mario and Zelda and whatnot but Miyamoto isn't all that. I've got mad respect for the guy, he's debatably the most important developer in the industry and i can't see the gaming world without him but let's be real. He ain't no Jesus of gaming, He's pretty good but damn far from the greatest. There are many devs who IMO are so much better than him it isn't even funny. Not to down play good ol' Shigeru he is high tier and alll but not god tier like people make him out to be.

~Baby Mario's cry in Yoshi's Island isn't really all that annoying.
~Star Fox Command is my favorite Star Fox game.
~Genuinely bums me out that Ribbon, Adeleine, or Kirby's animal buddies haven't appeared in any recent Kirby games. (Outside of Cameos.)
~I like Mario Kart 8 and Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing Transformed equally.
~Though speaking of Sonic, I would like to see a Sonic Riders 4.

I dislike fighting games in general. They're overrated, with the most absurd mechanics, just learn how to spam and there we go. Not to mention the community probably includes the most toxic people I've ever seen.

As for first-person-shooter games: I could say that I'll be stuck in tf2 or even Gang Garrison 2 if that's the case, I can't find the appeal of any other fps; if I join another community it would be same thing but worse.

Why does no one believe me when i say that his cape looks like a cane, For a long time i though it was a cane until i looked closer at his feet and also the victory animation that its just part of his cape. I can't unsee it either it always looks like a cane to me. I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but i always sound dumb to others when i said it was a cane when i first got into FF so i say its an unpopular opinion.

Edit:
The remake kinda sorta has that look to it too, its following me everywhere.

I don't think HD remasters are inherently a bad concept, yet they seem to have this stigma behind them.

On one hand, yeah, some of those resources could be used to make a whole new game instead. But on the other hand, I find that being able to play an older game on a newer console can be beneficial to people who would like to return to their old favorites on a new console...or people who never got to play it on that old console.

Now, to be fair, there are some not-so-good remasters; the Silent Hill HD Collection is an infamous example, and I personally found the HD versions of the Sly Cooper games to be the inferior versions; if you can live without them being in HD, then you're better off sticking to the PS2 versions.

But a truly good remaster can actually make a game shine on newer, more powerful hardware, and fix some annoying glitches found in the originals.

  • The Game Boy and Gameboy Color are, while not bad, not as good as often said.
  • I like Toad more than Yoshi.
I agree with the GB and GBC part. GBA all they way IMO. My theory is that its all nostalgia based. There is much quality in the GB lineup besides nostalgia of course, i love em. Though the quality of games is subjective. Anything can be best to you in the regard, but the console itself. You can do way more with Linx and maybe Game Gear. However the GB is way more afforadble in comparison (80 bucks in 89 is still outrageous for what it was). So when many people are in their 20's and had GB growing up that's what they favour.

As for the other thing. I prefer Yoshi's to Toads but he/they are massively underrated in the marioverse.

I won't buy the Switch unless they get rid of the Pay 2 Play services, that's like charging every cup of water you drink plus water taxes.

I really enjoy Rolling Gizmo Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy, the difficult level where you control the ball with motion controls.
