Why Do You Like WarioWare?

We all have our reasons, whether it be liking or loving certain characters, micro games and games in general, game designs, Wario, and much more. And in the interest of spurring more Wario discussion, I figured since we have a general character appreciation thread, why not have a general WarioWare appreciation thread?

Part of what I love about WarioWare in general is the hyper active micro minigames. Remember playing Twisted, Touched, and even Smooth Moves with my friends and brother. We'd just mess around in Smooth moves as when one of us were playing a minigame the others would just tell jokes or do something in the background, an added difficult we did if we sought the minigames didn't cut it at the time.

Me and my brother used to try and unlock all of the capsules in Twisted, not surprising enough aside from Twisted and Smooth Moves the microgames I've played mostly were in Wario World. As that game came with like a few wario ware minigames that were in mega micro minigames. Needless to say it was my first time playing a WarioWare game if those minigames in Wario World counted, and after that I just went on to play some of the others. The best bits are how wacky the characters are much like Wario himself, always liked how the first Wario Ware game did use sounds from Wario Land 4.

Some of the best minigames are the ones that keep you on your toes, as well as ones that just give you back that nostalgia feelings such as the StarFox SNES minigame.

I really like that it's a series that is enjoyable in both short bursts and also longer spans of time. I also love the wackiness and bizarre Japanese aesthetics to it.

This, pretty much.

I also think it's a neat glimpse into the life of Wario when he's not treasure hunting or bugging Mario. We get to see his larger world, the city he hangs out in, his group of friends, even his potential love interest (Mona). For what it's worth it's a neat little exploration into the character of Wario himself, and the world he inhabits away from the Mushroom Kingdom.

Because it's -- ummm, I love it due to.... eh? because it's Wario! that's the key, cause it's Wario, not just because of one character! Ashley!? who heard of her?! not me! ^^'

Alright, no choice on hiding it. I like the game only because of Ashley, but the micro-games are very fun. Got Warioware for Ashley, stayed with Warioware cause of micro-games (and Ash-wee.)

-Fun
-Gets progressively faster and more difficult
-Beating my high scores
-Wario and the Warioware cast
-Microgame variety
-Bonus minigames (pyoro was a lot of fun)
-Can decide whether to play for 5 minutes or hours
-Charming

For me it's the full package of what the games provide that makes me love the series.

It starts with the gameplay and the multitude of ways it can be enjoyed; whether you are just looking for a quick time killer, want to break your highscores or want a more competetive multiplayer experience (Mega Party Game$ I love you so) which leads to the unlockable extras and bonus games, which are fun to toy around with or the wacky and silly as heck presentation and humor, which never fail to bring a smile to my face.

The characters might also be a big sticking point for me, I dunno, the jackass who made the character appreciation thread holds the answers to that question.

I just always have a good time with the series and that along with how the overall experience of unique gameplay, quirky presentation, fun and lovable characters, catchy beats, neat unlockable extras and a multitude of other smaller nuances comes together, is why I love WarioWare.

The primary reasons why I love Warioware is for the fast paced reflex oriented gameplay and the insane amount of replayablity and extra content and just the overall weirdness of these games. which makes the Warioware games very unqiue amoung Nintendo's usual IPs. like let's be serious, how many times will you see stuff like this in a video game?

This is the kind of stuff that you can only find in Warioware.
And it really gives the series this very bizzare but quirky charm that makes these games and by extent the series itself so unique and fun.

And the characters are designs are an extension to the series' weirdness.

Seriously there is no doubt about it, these characters have to be some of Nintendo's most unique and creative characters ever.
They're funny, they're weird and they're very quirky, and while not all of them are exactly A+ winners, they're all unique and fun in their own way.
which represents the series perfectly.

In short: The reason why I like Warioware is because they so unique among Nintendo's IPs for their quirkiness and gameplay, from the mirocgames to the minigames to the toys to the characters and the world they live in.

Seriously, there's really not much like Warioware and I doubt there'll ever be.

I mostly like WarioWare because of the very reasons TB100 mentioned, but the huge amount of funny collectibles in each game is what it makes it even more worth playing: you just want to have every toy and every minigame unlocked.
And the stories that portray the characters everyday life are, why mostly short, a funny aspect. (Don't you agree that 9- and 18-Volt's story in Smooth Moves is one of the most heartwarming things in a Wario game?)

I like that its like a general test of gaming skills using your bility to do different basic actions really quickly while also having weird japanesse humor and Nintendo references. For the most part the characters are fun too. What's not to like? Only downside is WarioLand is better but that's just my personal preference and it shouldn't matter since they are different types of games. That being said the idea that WarioLand is better is something that sticks with me since i had been a Wario fan for years and WarioLand 4 was fresh in my mind so when i saw Wario's name on a WarioWare inc. flyer i had too have it. At first i was a bit baffled since i expected it to be some sort of Land off shot where Wario commits corporate espionage to make profit though eventually i came to love its frantic gameplay.
