Someone tracked down the Wario Land 4 voice samples!

Zero-G is pretty popular among game composers in general, and Nintendo also uses their libraries quite a bit, as SimonMKWii said. For example, two drum loops from Zero-G Datafile Two were used in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and a drum loop from Zero-G Ethnic Flavours and a flute...

That dow sound is the JzVoice Dow instrument from the Roland ED Sound Canvas SC-8820 synth, which Wario Land 4 also uses. Miitopia also uses the JzVoice Bop instrument from the SC-8820.

This organ sample was also used. It's likely to originate from the Roland D-50, but I don't have one, so I can't confirm that. Sample: D-50 Organ Number: 17 Source: Roland Sound Canvas SC-88 Pro Date: 1997 Music: Opening

FYI, I got that sound from the Roland Sound Canvas VA VST. You can download the demo of it here: https://www.roland.com/global/products/sound_canvas_va/

I didn't change the volume of my comparison sample, so I don't know what you mean. I just recorded it in FL Studio and lowered the volume of the sample from the game so it wouldn't be too much louder than the sample from the SC-88. The purpose of the comparisons is to show the similarity between...

I'm sorry, but if that's true, that's unfortunately not possible. I don't have the Bliss sampler, so I can't get raw samples from VSTs.

Do you want the raw sample from the game or the sample from the Roland Sound Canvas SC-88?

I unfortunately can't make a video, but I've added comparisons of the samples to the Google Drive folder.

I also found the Oh So Beautiful-D and the Precious Beautiful-D samples in the game's sound banks. They were also sung by Nathan Prime, but I didn't write them because they weren't used in the opening theme, even if they were in the game's files.

It's been a long time, but I've found the sources of a few new samples. Sample: Shanai Number: 112 Source: Roland Sound Canvas SC-88 Date: 1994 Song: Arabian Night Sample: Male - Nathan Prime - Wo Yeah-C# Source: Zero-G Vocal XTC Date: 1997 Song: Opening

[Fan Content] Super Wario Land [Fan-game]

This looks OK, but I can't really judge the game based on the footage we've seen so far, so I'll say more when more progress is made! I've seen Alex before on the HCS Forum, so it's interesting to me that he's the composer of this game.

Should Nintendo make a 3DS VC remake of VB Wario Land

It would be better if they made a remake of it with a bigger color palette and better graphics instead of just releasing the original on the Virtual Console. The Virtual Boy hurts my eyes!

@Shokora Here you go! :) Please give credit to me and put a link to my V.I.S.T. in the reference table you're constructing.

Medamayaki from Wario Land 4 with new SC-8820 instruments and the old vocals: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2GlXn4fFiAETnR6QVdJMk12dTg/view?usp=sharing I didn't include the bird tweets because it was very hard to get their pitch right. Re WL4 voice samples - List of potential Zero-G sound packs

I'm talking about Crescent Moon Village. I wouldn't have used anything instead, because I would have cut the parts that didn't use the Sound Canvas. Here is my version of the song, and I'll add the synth bass, guitar, cymbal and bass drum parts to it with Audacity if I ever find the source of them.
