0:30 part I feel could be a more clear and distinct instrument. (sounds like the same sound in the beginning and it could stand to change there as well)
I feel it being so low gets overpowered by the louder other sounds.
With this song in the original game, you kinda have this digital yet little staticy sound. I'd recommend trying to keep that in mind. Not so much the static bit, but what would sound good in replacing a higher pitched digital sound for distinction.
Yes, it does help, @Kokonoe! Thanks a lot, I agree with the first part, and now it sounds a bit nicer. I don't quite understand what you mean by the last part though, about the staticy sound, sorry. I did, however, update the song to be more diverse, to separate from the original a bit. Here's the update (same link): https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx8KZbVBD5eKcjd3MUEtSU1MZEE
Oh, I was referring to how like the Game Boy version of that song, the sound has some hints of static in the way it sounds. (It's the best way I can describe that sound haha)
Thanks! Anything I should change? I usually ask when I'm not sure, since my good headphones broke, I use crappy ones, and the sound is not so accurate...
Hmm... Yes, a few things. I'll be more specific this time.
0:04 That sound, the "dun, dun. dun, dun." could stand to be something with a little more "oomph" to it and perhaps less midi sounding.
0:34 The subtle sound here is far too subtle, so it doesn't add any extra layer of depth to the song.
2:48 I'm not sure what I can say about this part, but something about it doesn't entirely sit well with me. (You can leave it alone for now)
I feel fixing the first two things will come out with something more cohesive overall. Also, it'd be interesting to hear the drums replaced with the beat at 3:04 as a test.
Ok, I can try that for the first 2 things. I'm guess what's not right about 2:48 must be the pitch change, maybe? Before that it goes normal to higher pitch and then back to lower and back to high again. And about 3:04, it's actually already a beat!
