I knew this was a bad idea as soon as I heard about it.
I've been on sites like 4chan and such, and I learned that without proper moderation and rules to keep things in control, things will go downhill very very quickly. So yeah I completely agree, this site needs stricter rules, better moderation and just more staff in general just so things don't end up going downhill so quickly.

Lack of moderation has been an issue for a while, I understand that initially it didn't seem like many rules were needed, given how chill and particulary small the community was at first, but things evolve and so should the rules, I mean we had an instance where one user called another a pedophile out of pure spite, with no consequences, I don't want to play backseat mod, but that kind of stuff shouldn't just fly by

To be fair, she was only 14 at the time, not knowing the guy. She said "You do know I'm 14, right?" and the user replied with some image that looked to say "I don't care" so he might have scared her.

My youngest brother (who is 20) was thinking of joining here a while back, since I raised him on classic Wario.

I don't know if he's ever visited, but I've told him several times that it's a really swell place. I know that some of the stuff on the Shoutbox would definitely give him a bad first impression. Unlike me, he's VERY judgemental.

I misread your post but wait what! I don't post any explicit photos and most of the things I say are tongue-in-cheek and I don't describe sex acts either. In fact i don't go outside using foul language or saying some men look "hot" (again thats a joke, but yeah) So what's the problem here if we're not doing sex chats, posting porn, fighting, ect? @BlueJackG

please i've been on 4chan this is nowhere near the level of filth and disturbance as 4chan is. 4chan is a lot more ruder, sexually perverted, and a far more hostile atmosphere. This is REALLY , REALLY not as bad as a lot of sites I've been in @TB100

Hey, I never said anything about you, blanche. If you feel trageted, that's not my problem. The matter of the fact is that this site accepts minors too, plus it's a forum, and there are rules, one of which is proper language and non-sensitive topics. As I said, I not a moderator, so if people start leaving because they feel uneasy or offended, don't come crying.

If people are getting offended at silly "shits" or "damns" or aimless banter then good riddance, we are not discussing porn, doing sex chats, being hostile and argumenative, nor are we do anything that would otherwise produce a unhealthy and toxic atmosphere. Most of the people here are adults and I feel we don't have to scrub our tongues just for the few kids that lurk here. Besides, even the moderated kid family sites like miiverse or nintendo communities have a lot of innuendo and they manage to have twice the hostility we have with twice the sex obsession and rudeness. Really, you can't escape it.

Also i didnt think you were referring to me in particular, just the people I talk to in the chat since well, we make up the bulk of it. Btw, I never complain about people leaving cause as far as Im concerned its good for users to filter themselves out sometimes

Why would I?? Me and BlueJack didn't get into an argument (neither have we before) and I never insulted him before. That would be dumb if he left. He's just having a life.

I haven't left, I'm just on timeout. I come by less, read the news and try to work on some videos and projects. We're cool.

So you're always on YouTube or making videos, right? that's good, I love your Paper Mario videos.

Trust me, I'm attached to this place for long enough to not want to leave for an argument or any of the sort.

I agree though, it wouldn't hurt to have the chat be more family friendly, since Wario, a character is meant for kids of all ages to have fun. Don't want to scare off newcomers!
