Ninety percent of my playtime was repeating easy content that'd I'd done a million times but was forced to replay cause of the lack of checkpoints. Then again, I think that's true of most recent 3D Mario 'finale' levels to be honest. Champion's Road felt far too long as well. Grandmaster Galaxy was probably the perfect length for something like this.
