However, there's something else that's interesting here too. Namely, you've got various symbols related to E Gadd found around the course as well. This is strange given how Diamond City has never appeared in the main Mario series, or shown any connection to the characters present in said franchise.
So what's the deal here? Does E Gadd live in/run businesses from Diamond City? And based on the other Mario icons and pictures, is it possible the place has more ties to the Mushroom Kingdom than we were otherwise led to believe?
