Foreman Spike

Yeah, people never complained about my artwork, they liked it enough to get 100 likes each drawing, that coloring style is not for me. Ashley didn't look too good with that shading, I was just trying something I saw online and wanted to apply this to Ashley.

I still really don't know who spike is, related to Wario I assume which means Spike lives in the same city with Ashley!?

Spike is just a character from the Wrecking Crew games who has no real direct relation to the Wario series. However, there are many connections between him and Waluigi.

So, here's the connection. Mario > Spike > Waluigi > Wario/Ashley > Mario > Luigi > King boo > Mario. Whoa, that's some crazy shat right there, it goes all the way back to Mario. Luigi's mansion Ft. Ashley and Spike confirmed.

I don't think it's been mentioned here before, but Mario's brown/white alternate colors in Smash 64-Brawl are an homage to Spike:

Spike is mentioned under his japanese name ブラッキー as reference, showing that it was indeed intentional.

Well, they're all from the Mario franchise or spinoffs thereof, so it's not surprising that it all connects to Mario.

And yeah, that color was said to be a reference to Spike, but was only ever stated as such in the Japanese site despite the color appearing in several subsequent games. So I guess Spike is still kinda represented.

I think everything connects to Mario, without the need for Smash bros. So when people call it rare artwork, I'm guessing Spike isn't very much popular or well-known around these parts?

Any fans of him here? I didn't know who he was until this thread, lol.

Must suck being a fan of a character who doesn't get much spotlight, always having to wait for rare artwork, poor guy. I know how he feels, it feels like forever when Ashley get's new artwork, almost only every holiday.

I never played Wrecking Crew I think, I'm not sure if it was in the brawl classic games. If It was I think I played it, but I don't remember. The game looks not as fun as other games I played, but anything with Mario in it has to be a little good.

Was spike playable or was spike an evil man hellbent on trying to kill our hero known as Jump-man aka Mario?!

a shame he's not in new spin-offs or nothing, we could use some more human characters and not weird creatures, baby forms and metal forms. Ashley mostly for sure.

Unless Wario replaced spike and there's simply no use for him anymore???

He was the main antagonist of the game, he would show up in specific levels and try to screw you over, the player's goal was to either dodge his attacks or try to trap him somewhere, so you could finish the rest of the level in peace, other then that he is also the opponent in every Bonus Stage.

He later came back in Wrecking Crew 98 (which was a competetive puzzle game) as the semifinal required opponent, thought he could be played as in other modes.

Then there was Mobile Golf where he was playable, sporting a new purple and overweight design.

Lastly he finally made a small comeback as a costume in Mario Maker and it's AWESOME!

Edit: Dayumn I'm slow.

I mean, I like Spike, but he's not exactly the deepest or most well-represented character, so he's not exactly at the top of my list. I do find him to be a fascinating character, though. I'd like to point out that he has more playable appearances than Pauline and Professor E. Gadd (as in, any at all), and the same amount of playable appearances as Toadsworth and King K. Rool if you count Super Mario Maker, so at least he has that going for him.

So just another character you like, not on a a favorite list but somewhere on your likes, huh? I'm not sure if we'll really see him again after Mario Maker, for a long time at least.

The things you listed may be unlikely, but be hopeful. I thought Ashley would never get this much attention but look at her now, on top of the Warioware cast and the favorite of her series, I guess anything is possible.
