How old is Ashley anyway?

Because I remember hearing somewhere that she's 15 in the English translations of the games (and rumours that's she's closer to 5 in the Japanese ones).

But it's never really made clear. Design wise she seems pretty young (and the voice/personality back that up), while actual size wise she's taller than Orbulon and roughly on par with the other older characters.

So what is her age anyway?
 
On the western website for Warioware Touched
Her age is stated to be fifteen years old. ("Fifteen going on 500")
It's a bit odd considering her design, but considering she has no confirmed age in Japan (Like most of the Mario/Wario/DK characters) That's probably the closest to a somewhat canonical age we'll get for her until Nintendo says something else regarding it. (Which considering this is Nintendo we're talking about, doesn't seem too likely.)

This is the only age that's even remotely confirmed. There used to be a section on Mariowiki which claimed she was 8 in Japan(which quite a few used as source), despite having no citation nor source for that claim. Her japanese age is simply unknown.
 
Her original design made her look like a teenager but with each game she looked younger and younger... maybe she ages backwards.

Too lazy to make these pictures the same size but as you can clearly see, in newer stuff Ashley's proportions are way different and maybe even inconsistent.
(Also I swear that Splatoon picture is a fan-redrawn piece)
 
I suppose its the rounder head and pure black eyes she got in Game & Wario that made her look younger. The same way Mona looks younger too. The new style gives off a very childlike aura.

That's a small child.
 
What I think makes this hard to judge is also her 'size' in WarioWare Touched. In that game, she's both noticeably taller than Orbulon, and fairly normal size compared to the mansion's wall and gates.

That either means she's pretty tall for a young kid, or Orbulon is really damn short.
