Let's go see some movies (Film Thread)

Sure love me some Spider-Man but i'll only watch homecoming because its Spider-Man but damn i'm so tired of Spider-Man origin stories. He is so ingrained in our culture that you could ask anyone on the street how Spider-Man got his powers so please stop it. Be more like the 80's Spider-Man cartoon, it respects the viewers intelligence. I saw Civil War so i knew this movie was coming and i expect this movie to set up more sequels itself. I'll only see the other movies it sets up if i care for those heroes, like Moon Knight.

So yeah in conclusion i'll see Spider-Man Homecoming but i won't set my expectations very high.

Has anyone watched the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie? Some say it wasn't that great, but honestly I can't see what's wrong with it. There is plenty of action, many funny moments and the plot is great too. I think it is one of the best in the series yet. I definitely recommend it if you like the franchise.

I stopped watching Pirates after 4, It started AMAZINGLY then 2 was great but not as good and 3 was decent. 4 started great but 15 minutes in it got boring and i slept through it cause it was just dull, I was told the climax was cool but i woke up to credits and the stuff i was awake for i forgot. Everybody i ask says the same thing so when i heard of this new Pirates of the Caribbean i thought it would continue the pattern and this one would be bad. But sice yu say its good i'll consider seeing it.

Everyone go see Blade Runner 2049. Best movie I've seen in a long time. You don't even need to see the first one to like it, but it does enrich the experience greatly. (the 1st is a classic on it's own, of course)

My only complaint with the movie was that it ended too soon. And it's an almost 3-hour movie.

So....this is a thing
Now I have to say, coming from someone who has grown up with the silly old bear and still adores him even to this day.
this looks very promising. I can't say I'm a huge fan of how Pooh looks here as he looks a bit offputting (I feel like they should have chose Jim Henson style Puppetery over CGI)
But everything else here looks to be intriguing and I'm hopeful that this movie is good or at least decent.

I hope the final product is like this

That style, it reminds me a bit of... Paddington.

Saw Mission Impossible Fallout yesterday. Was damn good!

Find a woman who runs over you the same way Tom Cruise parkours over Paris rooftops

So uh this is a thing, looks more like Dora explores the depths of a guys trousers tbh....

I swear, this sounds more and more like a internet parody then a real movie coming to theatres.
Just....why does this movie exist? a fucking live action Dora the Explorer movie made by Michael Bay of all people....
just...why? I'm genuinely curious as to why Viacom greenlit this? Did they look at that one Collegehumor video and thought to themselves, "hey! that would make a great idea for a movie!" I'm insanely curious as to what was going on in their heads to think of such a wild concept of a movie.

Hey if this movie ends up being good (Which I doubt it), then cool, but just the mere concept alone is fucking bizzare.

Speaking of crazy Nicktoon movie reboots.
Rugrats is getting a live action/cgi movie for some reason.
Why? Fuck if I know?
