Out of popular characters or lesser known ones?

I obviously dislike the clones in Mario Kart, especially the baby characters and Pink Gold Peach. No one wanted Baby Daisy or Baby Rosalina.

Starlow is an irritating waste of space that shouldn't have been in three whole Mario & Luigi games.

Any Zelda 'companion' (bar probably Midna and the King of Red Lions) can go to hell. *Glares at Navi/Fi/etc*

And this is a weird one, but... most of the cast in Mario & Luigi Dream Team really annoyed me. I mean, there were some great characters too, like Antasma, the Massif Bros, the Zeekeeper and Dreambert. But most of the other new characters were obnoxious. Brickle and Britta were too selfish to be likeable, the Seadrings were just irritating in general and let's not even get started on the Dream Stone Spirit or the Mole Hunt Proprietor.

Hate for Zelda and Birdo on my favorite forum ) : <

May have to find a new forum soon.........

And uhhh Nintendo characters I hate...... I dunno, I dont really have any problems with Nintendo characters, tbh : p Like, their characters are generally not real outspoken, which makes them more accessible than characters for other companies, you know what I mean? Theres not much to hate with Nintendos characters.

Maybe the thwomps with the mean faces, cuz theyre such jerks. Or the bullies in SM64, for always pushing you around.

Other than that though, I dont really have any problems with any Nintendo characters tbh : p

She was good in Super Mario Galaxy. She had a really nice backstory there and was decently well portrayed and integrated into that game's setting. At the end of the game, her story arc came to a conclusion, and she would logically go back to running the Comet Observatory after the game's end. Hell, she didn't even appear much in the sequel because of this. And then Nintendo decided that she should be in every spinoff, and even as a playable character in a main-series platformer. She was fine in the context of her own game, but her current level of exposure is way too much for what should have been a one-off. Also, making a Baby Rosalina is both stupid and contradicts her backstory.

Metal Mario. I'm not sure why they keep pushing him as his own character aside from being lazy roster filler.

Also is Rosalina really that overexposed? I mean she is being treated as a main character now but I don't think she's like replacing any character or showing up substantially more than say Waluigi (barring Mario Kart 7)

Another character I really don't like is Waluigi. Aside from being another weird recolor, Wario doesn't even join him in his own games. He's never appeared in any of the wario ware games or wario land games and quite frankly he doesn't fit them. Nintendo just has him as a benchwarmer for when these mini games or kart games in where he needs to just team up with Wario that's it. He's nothing but a benchwarmer and a lazy one at that. No good redeeming qualities, and hey he's not even related to Wario what so ever just some mild mannered guy. It's like if Wario paid him to just be his partner in third party mario games and that's it.

i don't get the "rosalina is overexposed" sentiment

"why are they putting Wario in all these games and shoehorning him into the US version of GB Bomberman? He was perfectly fine as an one-off villain!"

She isn't, really. My main gripe is that she's getting so much attention from Nintendo when she has no real reason to continue showing up based on her sole major appearance. It's like Knuckles going on adventures instead of guarding the Master Emerald as is his sole purpose in life (I still like Knuckles, but dammit, Sega needs to remember what his character is actually about once in a while). Getting put into Mini Mario & Friends while Wario doesn't would probably bother me a little more if I cared about that game, but the fact still does irk me a bit (although it makes me more angry at Nintendo than at Rosalina).

I see where you're coming from here, but Wario also didn't have other matters he has to attend to. That opened him up for developers to explore him more in Wario Land, which worked spectacularly. Rosalina has the Comet Observatory and all her Lumas to attend to, and I'm a little baffled that she has time to go adventuring in 3D World and whatnot.

Metal Mario is basically just there because they can retexture Mario and have another character slot, sorta like how Smash Bros. gets so many clone characters because they're quick and easy to make relative to a completely unique character. Dry Bowser continues to appear as sort of a bonus boss every once in a while for pretty much the same reason, as well as being a clone character in spinoffs.

As for Waluigi...well, I like the groundwork of characterization that he managed to receive, and I wish Nintendo would do literally anything with that, but so far he really hasn't done anything of value.
