Part where you got stuck as a child?

I remmeber I was stuck in Wario Land 2 for a week at Chapter 4 - In Town - Down In The Cellar map

I was like 7, in 98' on my first playthru and didn't know you can press up while holding B to throw an enemy upwards

That is the exact level where I got stuck for a long time as a kid.
No, i did figure out that mechanic. But the level is so mazy, I could never find the exit for such a long time...
The fact that I was playing the japanese version and didn't know about the level name telling me that the general directon I want to go in is down also didn't help...

I already posted this in a different topic months ago, but I didn't know for a while in WL4 that you could squash yourself into Spring Wario with hammers. I was stuck on the final boss for a while because of it.

Silly Kiddie Pigmask Story Time:

Upon playing SML3 for the first time, I was utterly clueless as to how to open the doors at the end of each stage, even in spite of those "background tutorials", a la WL4. Five-year-old Pigmask Colonel was stuck on Level 2 for years.

All because of that blasted goal door.

The puzzle rooms in Pecan Sands from Wario World gave me the worst time as a kid and to be honest even nowadays I'd call what I'm doing to beat them more meandering then efficient puzzle solving.

The city in WL3 with the polar bears on the roof, took me a long time to figure out you had to get the bears to send Wario through the spikes for you.

...along with many, many other WL3 instances that I can't remember.

ah, you're actualy talking about the time you need to be Ice Wario to kill the frog.
But how were we suppose to figure out that the Polar Bears can shoot their projectiles throught this air vent?
The only clue you have is that you unlocked this treasure immedietly after grabbing the super glove, so that means that you have to use the ice bears.
But I have spent to much time trying to get the ice bear to the other side...

Embarrassing kid story time:

I didn't know how to open the doors at the end of the stages in SML3, despite the images on the wall showing you what to do all WL4-like. 5 year-old Pigmask Colonel was stuck on level 2 for years.

All because of the damn goal door.
And that while it's actually demonstrated by an enemy when you come up. d:p

it's only demonstrated on the first level once.
But the sign on the wall, "Up+A", it's possible to not notice it, and therefor not understand what to do when you reach leve 2

You might even think that the demonstration itself might be a distraction, as not many people will look at the sign, but they'll look at the enemy instead, thinking it's just a cutscene. Maybe if there wasn't any animation, players might have noticed the sign more easily.

That's true!

That fox boss in WL 3 where you rikochet goomba's onto him without getting hit by white things but i couldn't land hits on him. I just handomly hit the goomba like things until i beat him.
