[Upcoming Game] Super Mario Odyssey (October 27th 2017)

That...would actually be a really good art style for the human characters. I forgot about those guys.
Yeah. I mean besides that, we pretty much already have an art style for humans. :p
The Bros, the princesses, E. Gadd, the Kings from SMB 3, and if you count extended universe then everyone from Diamond City.

Mario visits a psuedo-real world.
A world that is based on the real world.
So of course those realistic humans are going to be there, and aren't placeholders.
That's the whole point, it's a completly new experience, and I think it looks awesome.
Plus, it's not where the whole game will take place. I say it's simply just one of the open-world courses.

Yeah, I was about to say, let's not detract from the good stuff.
I do love the giant forest level. It looks huge and mysterious. I just hope it's not too empty...

I'm a bit disappointed that the plot is ONCE AGAIN rescue Peach from Bowser... I mean I'm not surprised... but at least there's the wedding twist now, even if it's not quite original.

I do like Bowser's outfit (the spike collar around the top hat especially) but the shoes just look goofy. :V

I hope that Mario's sentient hat doesn't suffer from Navi/Fi syndrome and annoys you with tutorials and patronizing "hints" every few seconds.

I like the weird bunny characters. The Big one looks like a bunny-fied Morton. the tall one reminds me of a very similar character but I'm not quite sure where he was from....

The hat spaceship seems to suggest that there's no real hub this time and you just sorta fly from world to world. Not sure how I'd feel about that. I guess it's fine as long as the worlds themselves have enough open world content.

Riding the sphinx was really cool. I wonder if you'll also be able to ride Yoshies.

If there are bunnies.... and hats.... how cool would it be if the bunny ear hat/power-up from Mario Land 2 made a return?

This is something random that I spotted that isn't very important but I wonder what's up with Peach wearing a tiara. I wonder if it's just a one time thing like her sun dress in Sunshine.

She was wearing it with her normal dress but I guess it's part of some cutscene since there's also the mystery of whatever Bowser stomping Mario's hat means.

Maybe it's like the levels in Super Mario Sunshine where you don't have the F.L.U.D.D? That's how I thought of it at least.

Here's how I think it's gonna go:
Bowser nabs Peach.
Puts tiara on her head to prepare her for the wedding.
Throws boomerang-ing top hat at Mario.
Mario gets thrown off the air ship, loses his hat, Bowser stops on it.
Mario now has no hat, when he gets a new one (in the crazy hats shops) he finds the one with eyes.

@TB100 why do you keep removing your posts?
(My reply was not relevant to your post, but as for why I keep doing it?. I have no fucking clue myself. But hey I'll go ahead and post it again.)
How do we know that woman is realistic, okay yeah she's a human, but she is also very blurry, so it's hard to make out her details, after all, she could very well be cartoonish just like most humans in the Mario franchise.

It's just weird to think that we almost had a 3D Mario platformer with random humans all the way back then already.
But now we ARE getting one...

To be honest, when I saw the footage of the game I already knew the scenario is going to be when I saw Bowser forcing the princess to marry him *cough*Super Paper Mario*cough*: "Mario saving the princess from the terrible Bowser", it's pretty much savvy considering Super Mario is Nintendo's cashcow on each new gaming device.

About Mario's Cap, it showed little info but like ShyGuyXXL said, it could lead into a Navy/Fi like character without shutting off about helping the gamer or "do this, do that..." scenario.

And dear lord, the humans npc (so is the environment around him, they're enormous) in this games compared with mario characters was kinda like a huge shock to me, Nintendo always did characters with cuter/cartoony looks on previous games, now they went full LA Noir/GTA-like NPC characters. Considering it's based on NYC with Donkey Kong references.

But the locations were beautiful, especially the forest one who owned my heart! <3
Other than that, I can't wait for more details for this game!
