Wario Forums Discord rules

ThAshleyChannel

That one person
Hello, and welcome! if you just joined the Discord Wario Forums chat one of the moderators may have appointed you here. Our Discord follows the same basic rules of the Wario Forums, so you can check that too here:

https://warioforums.com/index.php?threads/wario-forums-rules-and-guidelines.1/

So as a chat, we have some rules of our own, so things don't get too hectic around there.
So please be careful and don't be afraid to ask our mods about these rules, if you have any questions we're happy to hear them. So, I'm going to assume you read the Forum rules I linked above, so here our the chat rules.

1 : Don't Spam Pictures

Yeah, we all have fun with pictures, but too much of them can be distracting or annoying. Exceptions are, if they are small in size. Nothing too big, please. All things considered, posting big pictures aren't a problem if you don't spam them.

2 : No video spamming

Same with the first rule, it can be distracting and/or annoying. Try to limit yourself from posting too much at a time. Exceptions are if the chat is okay with them, but if a mod asks you to stop it's best to listen.

3 : No porn/Hentia

Alright, we all know most people like these, but please, we have kids on the site and we wouldn't want to expose them to it, or make them sick. Nothing too extream! thanks. There are no exceptions. You post porn/Hentia, you get banned.

4 : No invites to none forum members.

We all love having our friends on the chat, but the chat is limited to Forum members only. Please, make an account here and be active enough on the forums to join. Besides, you'll make many more friends on the Discord chat.

5 : Always listen to the moderators

They are moderators for a reason. Don't take this personally, we just want everyone to have fun in the chat and to make sure the chat is in check. The moderators are chill, so don't worry about them being strict. Also a good idea to listen to temp mods/mods in training.

----------------------------------------

Those are the basic Discord chat rules. More will be posted later on, overtime. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

"No porn/Hentia

Alright, we all know MOST people like these"

All jokes aside what's considered small enough for the pictures, Like enought to fit one lie of text small? Does the threshold have to be half the screen? (that's probably past the threshold) I just feel like some mods may have a different standard for what's acceptable. (i'm aware i sound dumb asking this)

I've gotta ask them, but we all got a pretty good idea what size they should be. It can be huge, as long as pictures really big are spammed.

If it's some kind of uncommonly huge picture, it would be best if you resize it before posting it. That said, it doesn't have to be super small either...just use your best judgement. I'd say we're all pretty laid back as far as images go, just as long as you don't spam a bunch of stupid shit

The no spamming rule has been broken numerous times, due to the voice chat, so we need to find a system for that, actually...

Otherwise, seems ok to me!

It makes sense, many words end with "ia", so I can see how someone would do that.

I have that problem with label and ladle. Every time I try to write the world label at work I write "lable", and feel like an idiot that everyone sees my spelling error : p

Does this really count? like I understand how it would be spamming, but it's not technically spam if everyone just happens to be talking and the person is just responding, it just happens to look like Spamming because only one or two people are typing.

Yes, I get your point, although the rule has been broken nonetheless. One thing is sharing a picture, then continue the conversation, then post another one later, even if it looks like spam, it isn't. However, if you're in the voice chat posting pictures after pictures with no cooldown whatsoever, that's spam.

I didn't know we were talking about image spamming, I thought we were just talking about multiple rows of text, like some people have been doing, but yeah the image spamming is a little excessive. (Hell me and Juan warned HeHe to stop doing it, the couple of times he did it.) But hopefully since the rules are officially written down, people will start to obey them.

Yeah, text goes the same but more for Caps text and random typing, you can talk all you want, as long as it respects the rules and other members.

Here's some other rules from the mods themselves.

Don't talk or share anything related to the forums themselves except for links to it's thread
I'll let BlueJackG explain this one.

No Dirty Language
Now general swearing is fine, but no F**k me, or lick my P***y or anything like that. It's NSFW and it will give you the Ban treatment.

Don't post your Wario fanworks. (Unless it's in progress or not final.)
Now we have many talented people here, and that's really cool, but can you please refrain from posting your Wario fanworks on the discord, it's nice and all, but there's a entire board dedicated to this stuff, so just post there instead. (Stuff that's in progress or not final is fine though. And so is your non Wario fanworks.)

That's all I can think of, besides the ones in the OP

Yes, as far as the swearing goes, again, use your best judgement. I don't particularly care, something like "Look at this fuckin shit" in reference to something you want people to see is perfectly fine. Meanwhile, something explicitly over-the-top, designed to be shocking or appalling just to show everyone how edgy you are would just be obnoxious and inappropriate. Generally, you should know what crosses the line and what doesn't. And if you don't, PM one of us and ask.:shantdance6:
