Wario game remakes

But there's a chance that the art director for this would be coerced into going for her current look.

I'd sincerely rather Mona be forgotten than go around looking like that for the rest if her life.

I would definitely be in for a Super Mario All Stars esque game (Wario Land All Stars???)
Where all 4 games + VB Wario Land are all packed into one package with updated presentation and gameplay.
Especially if they look anything like Wario Land Shake It.

At the same time though, I don't really see the need for remakes as there's nothing really there that I think would need improving on. they have all aged very well, and are still fun to play even today and any improvements they can make can just be put into a new game instead. (Though I won't be against remakes at all.)

That's just how I look at it really.

I'd rather it not look like Shake It really. Just too clean and sterile.

I'm kind of split with remakes. They can feel unnecessary at times and I especially hate how certain series like the Pokemon series you pretty much expect every main series game to be remade down the line.
However, if sufficient enough time has passed then it can be a nice twist on old memories.

Ugh, both of these posts were very hard to rate, as I agreed and disagreed on different sections of both posts. d:p

I don't think Shake It's style would work for the other games very well, and I don't mind the Pokémon remakes, as it's good people can play old region's in newer, improved generations.
But what I do agree with is both of you saying it seems unnecessary.

Well I didn't say exactly like Shake It.
I guess what I mean is more of the handdrawn engine and just a few of it's aesthetics rather then it's exact art style. (Kind of hard to put it into words.)

Like how the Super Mario All Stars versions of the original NES games ran on the same engine as (I think????) SMW and shares a few similarties with that game's artstyle, but not really looking like it in terms of visuals.

It's a bit hard to imagine that this ran on the same engine as

This
So this is generally what I was referring to more then anything.
Though feel free to correct me if wrong on this.

That or for a much better example, similar to Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends (Probably a better comparision)
despite running on the same engine and sharing it's general asthetics, both games have a very different look to them.

Origins has a very cartoony look to it.

Whereas Legends had a more fantasyish storybook like look to it.

My idea was that the remakes could run on either the same or an upgraded version of the Shake It engine and can share a bit of it's general aesthetics and look, but not so much it's exact art style.

Once again, it's a bit hard to put it into words, but hopefully it explains that part a bit better then it did.

(But then again, It's probably best they go for a new engine entirely if they do end up doing remakes as it's an old engine from 2008 and is probably too outdated to be updated or whatever.)

You know it would be cool if we got a a Switch remake featuring Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, WarioLand: SuperMarioLand 3 and, WarioLand II.
While the first two Mario Land games are a bit loose all four games tell an on going canon over different story arcs and each one flows into the next. So its appropriate that they get released together. Yes these games aren't exactly story intensive but starting at SuperMarioLand 3 is kinda weird and WarioLand II is a direct sequel. Mario Land 1 and 2 just have a similar threat of Tatanga but they do flow into one another.
