I'm more interested in those pockets on Wario's jacket (or whatever that thing called). Were they there on previous artworks that aren't renders?

Can't say I agree on this style working for Ashley, I actually find her to be the one that looks pretty off, though that might be a case where it looks better in cutscenes, then in still artwork.

Either way Wario is more squad then usual, which I don't mind in the context of this artstyle and 9-Volt and especially the ninja twins came out fine as well in my opinion.

I'm torn on this one; on one hand, I'm glad we're getting a new WarioWare game at all, and I definitely plan on snagging it.

On the other hand...it's a compilation of sorts, and it's on 3DS. In a time when it might be best to move on from that thing. I kinda feel like the prime opprotunity to get a WarioWare game on 3DS passed. Ah well, better late than never, I suppose.

I'll still buy it, and I'll likely enjoy it. Just have conflicting feeling on the whole matter, is all.

I just honestly hope it will be a WarioWare game. Not asking for anything new, just a normal WarioWare, not like the last one, which is a console demo with a familiar character cast calling itself a spin-off.

Yeah, that's the key here isn't it? It's a real WarioWare game with traditional gameplay.

It's weird, when was the last time a console got its first WarioWare game near the end of its life cycle?

Ok, now that I've had time to think about this...

Positives:
It's an actual Wario game that isn't a half-baked tech demo.
It's basically pulling a Megamix with the old and the new.
Finally another button-based (at least partially) Warioware. I also can't wait to play the Twisted microgames again.

From what I've been able to hear in the music... the remakes of old songs sound pretty good. It's hard to tell, but it sounds promising.

I'm excited that this exists. It has a lot of potential.

Neutrals (or "not sure bout this"):
I see they are changing the style of a lot of these microgames. Some of them look really cool, others I'm not sure about, that's why I put it in the neutral category.

Is there really voice acting in the game though? Or is it just a promotional thing? The "cutscenes" look like they've been thrown together in a minute, honestly...
If there IS voice acting and Charles ISN'T doing Wario's voice, then... the Moon's gonna fall in three days.
I just hope the other voice actors aren't shit... :SWorried:

Negatives:
I'm not sure how smoothly the different control schemes are going to flow into each other... if they flow into each other at all.
I mean I've proposed this idea myself before but even then I wasn't sure how to do it. Are they going to keep them seperate? Are you going to have to switch the way you hold your 3DS constantly, to prepare for the new control scheme? Like the forms in Smooth Moves? Cuz to be honest those things already slowed down the pace of the game. So I'm a bit worried...

That style...

I'm sorry, but...
I just don't like it.
It's so off-model...:SConfused:
Ko Takeuchi is letting his own personal style take over more and more...
But in this case I just don't think it fits.
Everything is so round and blubbery...
Wario's face is... :SWorried: ....his cheeks are so... thicc... and not in the good way. :SSad:
I don't like it at all.
Smooth Move's style was perfect. Then Game & Wario changed the style a little bit but it was still looking good. But this? Ko isn't even TRYING to match the style anymore...
Then there's this new boombox...

Cotton Candy Boombox? Eh... :SConfused: I guess it's kinda Wario-colored. (blue jacket and pink pants)

WHERE'S FRONK!? He was supposed to be sleeping under the bandage. :SSad: Don't tell me they took the Fronks out of the frantic fronk microgames! ....and actually it doesn't look that frantic anymore either. It seems like you had plenty of time to finish the microgame, when in the original you needed quick reflexes...

I'm seeing a few other details that are missing... like in "Sneeze Please"...

...which now features a hippo, instead of a disembodied nose.
In the original the nose would start moving and sniffing as soon as you got the paper in there. But in the trailer it wasn't animated until you had tickled it enough.

Let's hope this game will still be polished A LOT.

Hm... :SHmm:

I also agree with BlueJackG that it looks kinda sluggish in places...

Also, looking at these numbers:
upload_2018-3-9_8-48-27.png

...300 Microgames doesn't sound that much anymore. Especially considering how much content Megamix had, compared to other installments...
I mean if they seperate the different control schemes then each section only has like 100 microgames...

Man, I desperately want this game to live up to its full potential! PLEASE MAKE IT BETTER THAN IT LOOKS, NINTY!!! :SSad:
