Personally I think Intelligent Systems can make a Wario Land game, they know Wario personality becuase they devliped all of the WarioWare games, except for Mega Micro Games. And they help develop Super Metroid,so you know they're good. Though they have taken a bad turn,I think they can recover. I mean, worst game in the Wario Land series is Master of Disguise, ant that's just lacking on gameplay. So I think it's not a huge problem if we have Intelligent Systems develop the next Wario Land game.

After the apparent success of Samus Returns, what do the people here think about Mercury Steam doing a new Wario Land with oversight from the original developers

I think they could do a good job. It'd likely be different from previous Wario Land games, but that's part of what makes the series so great. How every company has a different take on it.

Surprised nobody's brought up D-Pad studio considering we got this a few years back
I never really played Owlboy and all that so I'm not sure if they're the perfect guys for a Wario Land game, but I would certainly be interested in seeing what they can possibly do if it means we can get stuff like the above.

They'd definitely be a good choice here, and that mockup looks great. Honestly, I didn't know the name of the company until that post, so yeah. Probably would have included them in the poll if I did.

I'm sure their comics are perfectly fine, but Super Street Fighter II HD is just ugly.

But then again, I suppose a brand new title not bound to the chunky animation of a CPS1 arcade game would look less vomitive.
When you take a screenshot of SSF2THDR it looks great but yeah you are right, those terrible animations killed it, and those classic sprites are ass but if given more artistic freedom i'm certai they can make something great. I put them because i feel they would make a good evolution to the hand drawn WarioLand The Shake Dimension.

Retro Studios. They have yet to make a bad game.

Intelligent Systems could probably do a good job as well. A Paper Wario game could potentially be good as long as it doesn't play like Sticker Star or Color Splash.

Not only would WayForward be perfrct from a gameplay perspective, but their witty and humorous writing is a perfect fit as well. Wario Land must have an element of comedy to it as well, and WF is the best there is in that regard.

But uh Wario Land doesn't have that much writing to begin with?
