I was talking about the design: The neat casual look, with ribbons everywhere could be seen as stereotypically feminine.

I like how Smooth Moves went with 3D versions of Clu Clu Land and Balloon Fight, for their respective microgames, instead of the usual 8-Bit versions. It's especially nice with Balloon Fight, with how many microgames of that game we have it's...

I'm conflicted on whether to vote for Shokora or Goodstyle, Shokora is a great example of the silent and subtle storytelling that Wario Land has always been very good with and the ending really get's to show a different site of Wario, given that...

I feel like it might have to do with different developers being reluctant to use characters from sub-series developed by other studios, it's just my assumption, but it would go a long way to explain why the RPGs (especially Mario & Luigi) are...

I really like how a lot of Wario's games in Mega Microgames are similar or straight up subversions of microgames from the others. For instance you have four microgames that borrow from or insert Wario into classic Nintendo titles. See here...

Oh I'm totally with you, there is more to Rulue then she is often given credit for. Sure she's flanderized at times, but you can say the same for literally everyone, a lot of characters seem one-note at some point or another. I generally notice...

The big thing is that we simply don't know much of what Gold has to offer and the WarioWare series has a wealth of content to offer, beyond the microgame sets, between the bonus games, Challenge Towers, multiplayer modes, unlockable extras and...

I tend to see that a lot as well and it always kind of surprises me, because there really isn't that much of a distinction between the main games or other titles in the series to make them seem ''lesser'' to the point of questioning canon status...

I'd guess they might pop up on their own, without any other series accompanying them, like they did with *7 Valkyrie Arle. At least that's what would make the most sense.

Maybe someday, to be honest right now I'm actually more aiming to focus more on other characters and make Sig a bit less omnipresent in my works. Rafisol in particular is someone I really want to give some attention to. But yeah, I also agree...

Citation needed On a serious note though, I do welcome the idea of Wario Land getting a more consistent supporting cast, but if they choose Merelda as a returning character then she really needs to have more to her then she had in Shake It...

This. I mean I know it's too early to judge completely, but just from my initial knee-jerk reaction, this strikes me as if they are trying to get another character with a Ashley-type audience, which is a terrifying thought.
  • Magma
As I said, my reaction is entirely a knee-jerk one, if she ends up being a enjoyable character then I honestly don't care about anything else and I'm all in favor of being proven wrong when it comes to negative impressions.

Maybe I'm being ignorant with this, but does anyone else feel like the art for Wario on the cover looks a fair bit more polished then the solo art we had before? Could just be the shading and the goggles looking so much better.

Wario Land remixes in Mario games are barely rarer then DKC remixes or Yoshi's Island remixes besides the main the theme, the heck are you on about with that non-argument? You are acting as if the Mario spin offs ignore Land like Smash does.
  • 607
Thanks for completely dodging my point, what I'm getting at is that the sub-series starring other characters don't get that many remixes in Mario spin offs, but it's not like Wario is actively ignored there. And I'm sorry, but comparing the way...
