[Poll] How old is Ashley anyway?

I've seen people on Mario Wiki say her age is given as about 8 in the Japanese version and 15 in the English version of WarioWare Touched, but to be honest, the character design makes it extremely hard to tell. After all, she somehow manages to look too old and too young for both of those age estimates at the same time, and I'm not sure why...



So yeah, how old is this character meant to be anyway?

The "she's 8/9/11 in Japan" thing is a dumb ol' urban legend. There are hints that Ashley is meant to be younger than 15-years old (such as her voice {though the Japanese language allows for much higher ptich so that isn't conclusive either} and Ashley referring to herself in the third person in her Miiverse sketch vidya, a verbal tic that usually denotes young, immature characters - someone more informed about the Japanese language can elaborate) but she has no specific stated age in any Japanese material.

I'd say 12 is a pretty safe bet.

Clearly a young kid. I'd say closer to 8 than 15. I always thought this was rather obvious. But hey, maybe she's a midget.

But I guess there's no 'official' age, so whatever the player decides, I suppose?

When you think about it, there are only a few WW characters with a confirmed age: Dr. Crygor (103) and Orbulon (2003 in WW:MPG).
But I think it's safe to say that 9-Volt is 9 years old. Dunno if 18-Volt is really 18 years old though.

This is true. I'd put 9-Volt and Ashley around the same age. They could be classmates, if Ashley gave a damn about any sort of schooling that doesn't involve black magic.

How does the school system in Diamond City even work? I think pretty bad, since Ashley can just apparently skip school without any consequences and 18-Volt seems to have stuck on elementary school for a long time...

It's simple...her parents are nowhere to be seen and her mansion is too creepy for anyone to even try to approach.

Dunno about 18-volt though.
