Ashley theme is most popular one in Japan!

I knew that Ashley is popular in japan, but this is really pleasently suprising.

If the theme does well in the west as well I could totally see a new attempt at a Ware game happen, with special attention in marketing being put towards Ashley in order to garner interest, to make the Ware franchise relevant again and as a result, pull the rest of the cast out of their graves.

Either that or they merchandise the hell out of Ashley and leave the rest of the Ware franchise to rot, which would be disappointing, but I'd much rather have Ashley on her own survive, then having her die off as well.
 
I wonder if whatever comes of this will mainly be centered towards Japan or if the rest of the world will get in on it as well.

Considering that the theme has only been released in two of Nintendo's main marketing countries, I could see everything else like this be released in Japan only.
 
Still, I don't think this would be anywhere near as expensive or resource demanding as localizing a game to bring outside of Japan.

You clearly don't know NoA, then. Releasing a theme is hard work, man! They would have to sit down at a computer and press buttons, and even put effort into things! What are you, some kind of slave driver!?

If they can't use a meme or say someone's body is ready for it, it's just not worth it.
