[DEAD] Wario Land 3 Hack Project

The block goes up, and you go under it, then you go over it.

What do you think of these 2 ideas by the way? I think the first one is interesrting, because, just like ShyGuy's puzzle, it finds an alternate use for the golf block other than just blocking a sideways path

Also, I'm really confused again, I'm not too good at this yet :rolleyes: I've spent at least an hour now trying to make the screen scroll, but it just doesn't seem to work as I want it to work. I uploaded the updated version of my rom to the drive again, and what I want is that the first three sectors(14, 15, 16) are one region, in which it scrolls horizontally and vertically, and when you walk out the screen in the third, you get teleported to sector 17. Could anyone try to help me?

Oh wait, I just realised, I may have edited the wrong version of the level in the rom I was confused about. Because I just did something else and it just didn't seem to change, until I realised I was editing the old version of the level, before completing the game.
 
For who's wondering what I've been up to: I'm trying to make an alternative - working - Doll Boy fight. It's pretty tough with the way it's programmed though.
 
Does anyone have anything to do for me? I am just sitting here, playing a game, doing nothing of value, not knowing what to do...

Well, if you have nothing to do, you could just try to make a level as clever and beautiful as you can make it, and see what you get. I think you can learn a lot from that. Just go make a bank of the wild river level or something, and see what you can do with it.
 
You wanna work on this project and you haven't even beaten the game 100%?

Wariolandgoldpiramid, how are you doing with the overview of all treasures, when you get them, and what they do?
It would also be good to know what cutscenes are shown for what treasures, so we can change things while the cutscenes still fit.

I had an idea, could we change more things in the level later?
I mean, an example.
When the tree gets opened up in Out of the Woods, the only thing that changes in the original game, is, well, that the tree opens up. But why not have some more enemies move in the woods after the tree is opened up? Doesn't seem unnatural to me.
Same with other levels. When a change is made to a level, we can make more changes to it, have some more obstacles added in and such.

I've been a bit busy with uni and homework, so haven't really started it yet. I also dont know what the best tool to create it in. I think a table in MS Exsel should work.
Here's how i plan to make it:
Level - Chest Color - Current Powerups - Chest Required - Path unlocked - Treasure - Effect - Next Treasure.
Once i finish the table, i also plan to create a treasure map.
It takes time thought, and i dont have as much free time as i would have liked...
