I haven't read this thread.
But I'd like to post, in case some people don't know, as I don't make a big deal out of it here.
My profile picture has been my plush Piwi since May 26, 2014. May 26 is Piwi Day. On that day, I celebrate, mostly on my main forum and in real life, and on all websites (except for YouTube, one site where I'm anonymous, and any site where I don't have a profile picture) I change my picture to a new picture of Piwi. The year then gets named after that specific Piwi picture. For example, this year is the Year of Bridal Piwi. :) It'll only be a month and a day until the next year begins! ;)

Is Piwi your stand?

Now that I realise, I switch profile pics fairly often. Most of the time I use Wario, Waluigi, or another fictional character that crossed y mind. Sometimes I also use pictures of things I've drawn.

Characters I like, usually my "best friend" as in "Frienship ended with x, now y is my best friend" but not always.
OCs/Original characters (like currently on this site)
And edits some times.

My most consistent Avatar is my Youtube avatar:

I made this waaaay back when, when I first joined Youtube in 2007.
Back then this yellow face was popular, now it's just a relic of the past.
I never really felt like changing it since then. I think it's kinda charming, even if it's outdated.
Makes me recognizable, I guess.

Not sure where the idea for this came from. I guess I just fooled around with that Shy Guy artwork and noticed that the face fit on it so perfectly, so I used it.
It still looks like it was just meant to me like this. :sgrin:

100th post at last!

Anyway, my avatar comes from a Pikachu trading card I scanned and cropped.

Since Pikachu is one of my favorite Pokémon, I used it when I first joined DSUltimate (remember that?), the first forum I ever joined and posted to regularly! That was since 2008!

Ever since then, the avatar became my online identity, and have used it anywhere and everywhere possible!

I had several avatars before the BlueJackG, but after that, I've always wore pictures of Blue. Well except recently, I started using a different one, for personal purposes. I'm currently using one of Blue, but I will change to a new one once the artist has done my request.

Is there a particular reason why you don't draw your own icons anymore or rather as of lately?

Yes, due to lack of time and, honestly, lack of inspiration for drawing. I've been focusing more on drawing some of my followers/fans/friends' original characters for a trading card game I'm working on.
Sadly, things are kind of hectic at work, so I tend to have a tough time focusing on my online channel and artworks.

EDIT: And to answer your question more accurately, the artwork I currently have as a profile pic was a commission for a poster, which I wanted to have a professional artist work on. The next picture I commissioned is more personal, you'll see when it's done.

I looked it up, and no; I don't use such... things. I'm not even sure if it's a thing in real life.
I think you got it wrong. A stand is a something you use to be identified. My stand is Blue and the BlueJackG, for example.
