Warping polygons is the result of the PS1 hardware having no z-buffer or perspective correction. The Saturn and 3DO also lack these feature. It's *less* common due to both systems using quads, but it still happen

I suppose you're right, though I guess I'd still associate that limitation most with the PSX.

Ivr always thought the n64 looked much better than playstatiom, graphics wise. That doesnt make playstation bad, but n64 on average look better than playstation games.
