Why does this stuff always come up when I'm at work.

I'm gonna download that demo ASAP, really glad to see Gamer is back and it seems like the initial worries over how much content the game will have can be put to rest.

Also, Martinet is still great as Wario.

I don't like the german voice at all. It just sounds like some Rando trying to do an impression, rather than someone who's voice sounds naturally similar to Charles's. The other languages sound pretty close though.

Also, Why did they not bother to adjust the lip synching for the other languages? It's literally just a two-frame animation they need to turn on and off. It wouldn't be that hard to do.
Heck, a ton of hobbyist youtubers do their own lipsynching for their animated avatars, why can't they?
If they're not making the animations smooth, they could at least give them good timing.

Speaking of the extremely minimalistic animation, I wouldn't mind it so much... If it didn't come across as so... cheap.
Game & Wario also had simple animation, but it had a lot of polish in small and subtle ways. It felt simple on purpose. This kinda seems simple to save work.
I felt like Game & Wario and Smooth Moves had the perfect balance between animation that's relatively easy to make and animation that still is pleasant to look at.
This is coming from someone who has animated quite a bit before and knows how difficult animation can be, so I can sympathize, but I also think games should always be compared to their predecessors in terms of quality.

The minigames themselves on the other hand look great, btw!

I assume they just wanted to get the videos out as soon as possible judging from the rapid succession all these came out in.

How long do you think they've been working on these? I'm sure they didn't just start last week. And besides, each localization team can work on their version at the same time.

So apparently via a Luma Switcher, someone on 4chan was able to switch the Demo's region to Japan.
Which basically means we're most likely getting this Demo outside of Europe. (Hopefully the demo comes out in NA as well, because I want to play this Demo!)

Either that, or the localisation has been made for everything.
In the current days, Nintendo does this every ever string, every asset even if they end up unused in certain versions.

There's also some inconsistency, in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 DX for example, in-course assets were kept American English in every language.

Maybe a week isn't all that crazy. I don't think it's impossible.

Consider budget, amount of stuff to be localised, work hours, staff available, planning, etc.
Then 1 week can become extremely rushed.
And there is approval process for each language, which takes at least 2 weeks.

I have developed and released games on Nintendo platforms before, it's really not as simple as it sounds.

Been playing the demo a fair bit and I really like the added voice clips for certain situations, like how Wario will actually comment on it when one of your scores makes it to the highscore list or how making it to 15pts without losing once prompts a ''Mmmm, No mistakes!'' from Wario, just really nice touches.

I also love Martinet's performance as Wario, which is pretty much par of the norm, but it's nice to hear so much of him here.

Well I was only talking about the short trailer but I suppose that could all still apply.

Whoa, really? What games? I want to check them out.
Out of the published games:
・Chimpuzzle Pro (Wii U, 2014, Europe).
・BlockForm (New 3DS, 2016, Europe/Australia and Americas, Japan was planned too, but ended up not releasing here).

None of which are gems, since they were both rather experimental in a way.
I was also working on Neko's Action for New 3DS, but it's been on hold for over a year now due to bigger priorities.

I'm pretty hisappointed that they removed Wario from the Short Fuse microgame.
I know his inclusion wasn't necessary and his sprite here looks very off-model, but it was one of the VERY few depictions of classic Wario in the WW series.
The new one has Wario's biker helmet on it instead.... which implies that he made it, which is uhm... questionable...

Which reminds me, I haven't seen any 2-screen microgames yet. They haven't ditched those altogether, have they?

2-screen microgames are gone altogether, which makes sense seeing how only half of Touched only used 2-screens and is the only game to do so in the entire series. Having 2-screen microgames would just cause distraction considering how rare they would be. Bosses could still use 2-screens though, as they are a special case and most of the Touched bosses required the use of them.

I'm praying that Ashley's Touched boss isn't in, or if at is at least not in her stage. It's the only reason I hesitate to play her stage in Touched because it takes so friggin' long and one wrong move can wipe your progress in an instant.
