Why is there a train in Wario's basement?

Or at least, linked to it? Because at least one level in the 'Down to the Basement' chapter takes place on one, and it makes me wonder why it's there or how it got there.

Is there usually a subway running straight underneath Wario's Castle? Or is this like the Fawful Express in Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, where the villains set up the train tracks through the hero's house?

What do you think?

Considering how rich and lazy Wario is, I don't think it's too out of the question that he owns a personal train
that he uses every now and then to get around or some shit and they just happened to use it for their heist/takeover.

Believe me, if I was as rich as Wario, I would definitely have my own personal train for that reason alone,
also just because.

I always interpreted the Cellar chapter's setting as an old, abandoned network of underground mineshafts rather than Wario's "basement". The train/subway network is probably just another remnant of the old mining complex. Even if the whole shebang actually is Wario's property (which seems a little odd -- personally, I like to imagine that Wario simply dug a passage to the abandoned mineshaft underneath his castle after hearing word of the lost riches hidden within, a la his exploration of the Golden Pyramid in WL4), I doubt the train system belongs to him.
