So Gamexplain did a live stream, and showed Orbulon's prologue and microgame mix as requested by me who was very quick and some others who were also quick. Orbulon's new voice seemed familiar... I thought "That is NOT Orbulon! That is PLEX (the yellow robot) FROM YO GABBA GABBA!"

Good question. It seems like a floating timeline where characters don't really age unless it's needed. Like that's why Mona's still in high school, 9-Volt's still in elementary school and the twins are still in kindergarten since Mega Micro Game$ debuted in 2003 and there's been lots of new Nintendo products coming out since then. Also if I recall, one of 9-Volt's diary entries for MMG said that he celebrated the one-year anniversary of finding Fronk and taking him in so Fronk might have stayed the same age since then.
I feel kinda bad a good chunk of the thread is us shitting on the new art since it seems Ko Takeuchi had a way heavier workload on this game (way more character artwork than any of the previous ones + if the above penny tweet is any indication, he did the storyboards for the cutscenes or at least drew the key frames????)
So in other words, like The Simpsons then.
Well, I admire the amount of work he did, but I can still be honest and say the art style changes weren't all for the best. That's life.
