Apparently Cruise Elroy on MFGG worked it out, posting the figures here:

In short?

Wario bought 14,000 balloons at $7 each (in coins), meaning he spent $98,000 on balloons, leaving $2000 for everyone else to split up in the ending.

Also, the amount of balloons he bought would apparently be enough to lift up someone of Wario's weight, which is neat. Guess Nintendo did the science here, even for a party game which no one pays attention to the story in.

So yeah, thoughts? Anyone else find this kinda interesting?

I like how this is one of the rare instances in fictional media where the amount of balloons is not ridiculously low, as is mostly the case.
