Anyone a bit...concerned about the future of WarioWare after Gold?

I'm the only one who likes full voice acting?
You sure are; and If you're not; All I Can say is that I certainly DON'T Like it at all, And If I happen to be the only one who thinks that Full-Voice acting was a Terrible decision, and should not return in the next game or any future games; That's A-OK with me; Because My Opinion is my own, and Nobody can change the way I think, or force their will upon me.

Nah, not really. despite Gold not being quite the series' equivalent to Fire Emblem Awakening that some of us were hoping for (Though it's way too late for that IMO), I think WarioWare in the long run will be fine.

It managed to outsold G&W in Japan, made the charts in Europe (Even if it's at #40) and while it's not doing great in NA, it is arguably doing better here then a lot of smaller 3DS games, sure it's not exactly great and I would have like to see better, but Gold doesn't seem to be doing outright horribly or what not, at worst, we'll probably get another 5 year hiatus or what not, but I doubt the series would just outright die or whatever.

Even if the sales fail to impress Nintendo (Hopefully they don't have high expectations.), that could be blamed less on the franchise itself and more on the 3DS' current state as a lot of people have since moved on, or are moving from the system in favor of the new and fancier Nintendo Switch. (Well, that and the terrible and almost non existent marketing.)

Overall, I'm not too terribly concerned about the future of the franchise at the current moment.

I think it'll be profitable on the back of Japanese legs and it being very cheap to make. Warioware games don't need to sell billion of units to make money due to their very nature, and Gold in particular has a lot of cost-cutting since it has a very small staff team size for a retail game (actually smaller than most of the other game in the series if you disregard the voice acting and localization credits), the cutscene animation is Filmation-tier and a big downgrade from Game & Wario (and the Penny test animation is barelly less animated than the final version, suggesting they were all done by Ko alone), and the game's focus on bringing back past games cuts down heavily on design work, which is the main part of any WW games. The full voice acting probably did drive up cost, but not that much, esp. since the VAs in the Japanese dub are rookies.

I've seen someone suggest it'll be a franchise killer because it's on track to do worse than DIY (though I'll suspect it could ultimately sell more in Japan if it gets a notable end-of-year boost). That's, yeah, not good, but the context of the releases are different: DIY had the longest development cycle of any WW games, used a NAND cartridge to have more space for user content and read/rewrite cycles (which means it was more expensive to manufacture than the average ds game) and it was released on a far healthier platform. Nintendo probably knows the 3DS post-Switch is not a good place to release a casual-skewing game, and the game's good Japanese legs should suggest to Nintendo the WarioWare name still has *some* value.

There's also such a thing as going out of your way to disagree with everyone who doesn't agree with you

Well, they're obviously working on a few unannounced games for the Switch. Maybe a new WarioWare will be among them...

I didn't much stock in the leak that "revealed" Gold and claimed a game for Switch was already in development since it seemed like a bunch of lucky educated guesses to me, but the claim it development started in late 2015 lines up with the fact the Nintendo games don't have any games more recent than Super Mario Maker *

*Yes there's the Switch minigame, but while developers may not be aware of what games other internal teams are working on, they'd certainly be aware of Nintendo's next system

another thing that makes me think a Switch WW could be made rn is that the staff team for Gold is very small, and has none of the regular staff of the series (on the Nintendo side) beside Goro Abe and Ko Takeuchi. Having two warioware games in development at the same time already happened with Touched and Twisted - though I guess there's nothing that say those people aren't working on a new Rhythm Heaven or Tomodachi Life instead.

I for one am Just Glad that the Voice Acting in Get It Together ISN'T As Everywhere as it was in Warioware Gold;

It Brought back the Grunts That I loved hearing in Every game prior to Gold!

I Don't care if I'm in the minority when I say this; I was not a fan of the full voice acting in gold; and I'm glad WW: GIT doesn't have as much of it as gold did!
