Ideas for the next possible Wario Land?

Realistically, I have no idea what Nintendo would do, as they've been quiet about Wario land for a little over 10 years now. :/ But I think about what it could be sometimes, even though I can never fully idealize one single idea. Here's the most solid one I have (not solid, just moreso than my other ideas):
Maybe we take a tiny bit of the WarioWare canon and make it about Wario living in the city and wanting a castle again, so he goes out to find one only to realize he has to steal it from its owners, who turn out to be actually evil forces. (Why not just build a new one instead of stealing it? It's Wario!) This is going by the timeline where Wario loses his castle at the end of Wario World, though, I'm not sure how that story would work out otherwise. Maybe he just wants a new castle...
Also, while I love the "get to the goal and go back through the level" thing introduced in Wario Land 4, I think they should try to find a new mechanic either to replace it or be a more primary factor than the timer in WL4 and Shake It. Stretching out of the norms of platformer has always been the draw of Wario Land, so trying new things would definitely benefit a new release.
I'd also love to see Captain Syrup as an straightforward antagonist again.

I was always curious about how Wario Land would handle more playable characters. The series is largely puzzle based and designed around Wario's abilities, so throwing in someone else in a playable spot is not that simple.

My personal dream game has always been a Crash Twinsanity type of Wario/Syrup team-up game, where the two have a common goal and are forced to work together, but also constantly try to upstage and take shots at the other, that could even make for a nice foundation for new types of puzzles.

After WarioWare Gold (You know, the game he needs to split the cash) he takes a break from making microgames. Decides it's time to do what he originally loved to do, treasure hunt. I also would love his Hen to make an appearance again, and maybe Wario would need to rescue her or something.

Wario might have settled down in Diamond City, but he still has some of the treasures from his past adventures. One day a friend of his found one of them (I think Mona or 9-Volt might be the most likely) and asked Wario about it. At first he didn't want to go into details about it (wasn't in the right mood), but the rumor about it became quite popular among his friends and he figured that avoiding to talk about it is too much work (in his opinion). So he chose an assortment of selected treasures and talked about how he obtained each of them.

(I think if there's ever going to a compilation of the Warioland games that might be a pretty good premise IMO)

But why is he starting a new adventure? i don't know ... but maybe:
  • He already has a plan for a new adventure ready, but he never had the time (or interest) after starting his own business.
  • Captain Syrup was pretty bitter about Wario taking her stuff, so she challenged him to a small competition (in treasure hunting obviously). Her motivation was beating Wario and humiliating him a bit, but Wario didn't cared about her and never answer her request (which didn't improve her mood at all)
  • I'm absolutely certain that Wario still has the wonder lamp from kitchen island (turning money into wishes sounds really good if you have you own business). So he just wishes for one. Simple as that.

Mad Scienstein helps Rudy kidnap prominent individuals outside of the music box from different kingdoms (Mushroom, BeanBean, etc.) and Wario has to save them from Rudy's control.

It's a pretty cliche sentiment, but the one thing I want the most of all is a Wario game where you can play as both Wario and Waluigi... or a separate one for Waluigi, but a Wario Land game involving the both of them would be great. There could even be a two-player co-op mode, or a competitive one I suppose.

It'd also be nice to have a WarioWare for the Switch. I mean I realize that Gold just recently came out so it probably won't happen too soon, but it'd still be very neat to see. It'd be like 1-2-Switch... but better!

Ha, this is a random idea but how about a Wario platformer where the game begins with Wario getting arrested for tax evasion or something, and then the first level is him needing to break out of prison and the story picks up from there? What if Captain Syrup steals his castle while he's in jail, and Wario needs to get it back while also rebuilding his fortune that he lost because of arrest penalties? Just a thought...

I'd like to see a Wario game where the gameplay is similar to II and III. I absolutely loved the level design in II, and thought it was just a really clever, well made game that showed off its full potential. Despite Wario's invincibility, they still made it challenging by trying to get the player to avoid unwanted transformations, losing coins when hit, etc. Not to mention I love the way they hid the secrets and breakable walls. I'd love to see more transformations than Shake It had, maybe bring back the invincibility system from II and III as well. As for a plot, I really don't know. Maybe Wario can finally go after Captain Syrup to try and get the Bottomless Coin Sack back.

Wario Land should have local co-op, maybe like in a mini-game room or even two-players for the main game.

Also Ashley should be a playable character with different stats, using her magic to break through obstacles. For the Nintendo Switch. I think Ashley would be a fine character to fit into the Extended Wario-verse.

I was thinking about this a week ago. A new game for the switch.

So basically Wario wants to go treasure hunting again after making his microgames, So he goes hunting somewhere in a temple. Only to find the sly Captain Syrup has already raided it. Angered, wario hunts down her ship to steal all her treasure (there would even be a reference to the bottomless coin sack on her ship). After a battle, Wario (somehow) manages to lose all her treasures as they're scattered around different lands. So wario basically has to go on a journey to retrieve all the treasure he lost. Meanwhile A new big bad guy thinks, "HUH TREASURE? I LIKES ME SUM TREASURE! IMMA STEAL IT blah blah bad guy trope. "Bad guy" helps syrup get her money back before wario does. Near the end of the game, "Bad guy" betrays Syrup and takes all the treasure for himself. He is the final boss and when you beat him, Wario goes home with all the coins, jewels, gold, everything he collects including the bottomless coin sack leaving Syrup penniless. But y'know, there would be different endings based on how much you collect.
So yeah wacky ideas :p

A kirby's dream course version but with Wario. You have him plastered all over Kitchen island tourney club courses and throw Wario into the golf hole. He would of course retain his silly and funny expositions when he gets hit or hurt much like in the Wario land games whenever you swing and move Wario himself across the course.

A game in which Wario's the golf ball and makes sounds when he's hurt?
Take all of my life savings

Yeah I've heard of this game. But tbh the idea would work more as an extra. How would a Wario dream course be made into a full game?
They did it for Kirby! (But yeah, marketing-wise nowadays it'd probably be better as a minigame if this were to be a $60 Switch title.)

It'd sadly not be for the Switch at least can't see it that way, all I can think of is for the 3DS they could include various worlds from previous games like the arabian nights level or hotel horror in WL4 can be changed into a big golf course at least just see this as more of 3DS title and even then it'd be tough considering the Switch seems to be the next portable/console thing for Nintendo.

WarioWare characters should be kept away from Wario Land entirely imo. They could just add Waluigi or another Wario for multiplayer.

I agree. Wario land and wario ware are two different series. You get so used to seeing the characters in their environment that seeing them somewhere else is a little weird. I think captain Syrup should be playable too

I'm reposting this cause something went wrong.

I agree the wario ware characters shouldn't clash with the land series. They're completely different and it's weird to see characters in one series change into another enviroment cause they are very different. But Captain Syrup would a good playable character as well
