I know. But it can't be healthy not really being able to talk to anyone in 'real life'. But hey, not much I can do about that. Everyone I know online is from the other side of the planet.
Here in France (and in Portugal), I have a least some friends who loves Nintendo (and other companies/IPs) because I talked and showed my passion by talking in front of them, some of them laughed about it because "lel nintendo ish for children and Halo/CoD/CS:GO ish better"... but at least 3 people were very welcoming about the topic because they also loved retro video games but they're...let's say, very shy to talk about, it's like a very taboo nowadays. I think the people in Europe are just to "shy" to show off the interests in videogames besides North & South America.
I think I just got lucky here. My college has a gaming club (which I helped found), and we play a lot of Nintendo stuff. I also have a lot of friends that I play Smash Bros. with frequently. Around here, Nintendo seems to be pretty well-liked.
Everyone I grew up with in my state liked Playstation, none of them had anything nice to say about Nintendo ever : p Now that Im an adult, its mostly the same, but everyone has switched over to Xbox. Ive even been told Nintendo was "obsolete", which I thought was kinda a dumb thing to say : p Where I live, Im the only Nintendo fan I know, besides like one other guy at work who liked Nintendo at one time for a bit : p
