Yeah. I hated all the toilet humor in Master of Disguise. The old Wario Land games didn't have that, and it's one of the aspects of WarioWare and Smash Bros. Wario me and a lot of Wario Land fans hate.

They've been neglecting Wario in general these days. He doesn't even have a Switch avatar while Donkey Kong does, and his series didn't get a reference in Odyssey while Donkey Kong's and Yoshi's did.

Wario Land 3 was quite different than 2 aside from the immortality and reactions, though. If they do make a new Wario Land game, I'd like another in the style of 3.

And he didn't have a fart attack there, either. Wario didn't become a gross slob outside of commercials until the later WarioWare games and Smash Bros Brawl. He was more of a muscleman type before then.

It's probably why the series (As well as the Super Mario Land series in general, unless you count the Spacesuit, which looks different than the SML2 one) didn't get a reference in Super Mario Odyssey while Yoshi's Island (In the form of Poochy), Dr. Mario (His outfit) and Donkey Kong Country...

I agree with this. I don't get all the people gushing over 4 while completely ignoring 3, which is honestly the much better game.

It seems Wario Land 4 is the most popular or at least the one most people remember, though, not the first.

Captain Syrup is the Eggman/Robotnik of the Mario universe. Wonder who would win in a fight between those two?

Rudy was pretty interesting and quite unexpected if you didn't take the time to think about the Mysterious Figure. Him turning out to be the only true bad guy (Except possibly Mad Scienstein) in the game after you beat him was really surprising, though, because you'd think all the other enemies...

He's not the only Kitsune enemy in the Wario Land series, either. The Flames in Wario Land II are also Kitsunes (Their Japanese name literally being Flame Kitsune), but they are much smaller than him, have red fur instead of yellow and wield torches instead of magic/wisps and chestnuts.

Wario Land 3 is my personal favourite Wario Land too. I recently replayed the whole Wario Land Gameboy trilogy, and had the most fun with it. I love how the levels change and open up new paths as you get treasures, the level variety, you get stronger as you go through the game, the day and night...

His Japanese name, Kezune, fits him much better. Guess NoA really wanted to make a Wolfenstein pun. He's not the only one with a European-sounding name, though, there is also Pesce. Maybe it's because the game was released in Europe before North America?

Sports. Stuff like hitting enemies and knocking back projectiles with his racket, kicking footballs at enemies, rugby-tackling them, etc.

Sweet! His attacks actually would work very well in a Mario and Luigi game with the jump and hammer counters, especially with the Chestnut ricocheting back at him when you counter it with hammer like when you dash attack it in 3.
