- Mario enemies have been seen in multiple Zelda games, such as Chain Chomps in A Link to the Past and Bob-ombs in The Minish Cap. There have additionally been various references to Mario characters in Ocarina of Time alone, such as a picture of Mario in Zelda's Castle and a Bowser emblem on Malon.
- In The Minish Cap, a mushroom enemy named Puffstool shares the same name as a mushroom enemy from the first Pikmin game.
- In Super Mario RPG, Link and Samus are both found sleeping in beds in the game, with Samus stating that she's resting up for Mother Brain.
- The ending of Tetris shows Princess Peach, Pit, Donkey Kong, Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Samus, and Link all in one scene together in front of a Russia-esque castle.
- Kirby has met Samus in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and has had Mario, Luigi, and Birdo witness his fighting at more than one point.
- Kirby has explicitly fought Master Hand and Crazy Hand in The Amazing Mirror, implying that they are parallel universe versions of (or even the very same) hands fought in Smash Bros.
- Humans are a confirmed species in the Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kid Icarus, and Pokemon series.
- Miis, while not having been confirmed to be human per say, have appeared in various Mario games.
- Earth has been an acknowledged planet name in the Mario, Metroid, Kid Icarus, and Pokemon series.
- Pokemon states that it lives on a different world from the Earth, but has acknowledged Earth continents like South America and Antarctica in in-game PokeDex entries.
- Pikmin heavily implies that the planet PNF-404 is indeed planet Earth.
- Kirby 64 has a "star" (which are actually planets) that looks very much like a post-apocalyptic Nuclear winter version of earth.
