Wario Land vs. Klonoa...?

So a few months ago I was aware of the small little franchise known as Klonoa, While it doesn't look as good as Pac-Man World IMO, It still looks fairly fun I guess. I am really considering actually trying it out, specifically the PS1 game if anything. There has been something I can't get off my mind though: Does anybody else think this looks a bit like Wario Land? I mean... Puzzle based platforming, using enemies as projectiles, tons of, well... Shiny things to collect.

Maybe it's just because I've been playing WL4 a lot recently. I dunno. ((I wanna make a sketch later of the 2 characters respectively now too.))

Anybody else know about this other little game? I hope I'm not the only one who notices the similarities.

((Have that one sketch I said I wanted to make too, BTW))

Try "Shovel Knight" or "Tembo the badass Elephant" on PC
or Drilldozer on the GBA

maybe anyone has any other ideas about games similar to Wario Lands playstyle ?:)

Never got much of a Wario Land vibe from it, but Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is a good and surprisingly deep game. From what I remember anyway, it was almost 20 years ago I played it. That's the only one I ever played, didn't even know there were others.
